im slightly lost, im saving up to get a turbo from you and oil lines (soon) and want the biggest one with the most power that fits on the stock manifold (to put in blankly).or how much would be it to get another manifold to fit a bigger turbo? whats the best one youd recommend? are these turbos hybrid? sorry if its a topic that's been covered i did have a read through just cant make it out

Thanks sam

GTB2260vk would be the biggest but you would have to specify your power goal and what other mods are you planning to do to choose the right turbo...

the GTB2260vk will come welded directly onto manifold obviously you can go for tubular manifold but it will cost you more than the GTB22 supplied by me...

I've never seen a darkside GTB in reality but I guess they aren't very different, and yes GTB is stock 2.7 or 3.0TDI turbo not a hybrid, you have to weld the downpipe flange and see how the downpipe lines up with the turbo it's hard to say for sure without trying most likely some adjustments will be necessary

Hi, I have a seat leon pd170 and want around 270bhp, how much are you doing the gtb2260vk for and would I need a manifold or does it bolt straight onto the standard manifold?

thanks

paul

GTB2260vk welded directly onto stock BMN manifold will be £700 + £15 delivery + paypal fee

braided oil feed £40

oil return extension kit £15

dp flange £20

You can't bolt GTB2260vk onto stock BMN manifold as it is integrated with turbo housing, it has to be cut and welded onto the manifold or you need custom manifold.

I'm a little lurker here on briskoda as I'm mainly active on SCN, however, I'm just letting you all know about the amazing quality service I've received from XMAN during my DIY Budget GTB1756VK project on my PD130 ASZ Seat Ibiza - http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=395773

As Hybrids are just 'too easy' and popular, I decided that 3rd Gen VNT technology with shed loads of boost was the route I was going to take. Being a secret fan of the work done by the lads at Darkside Developments, I wanted a piece of the TDI tuning pie, without spending HUGE amounts of my hard earned cash and softening the blow with gallons of Vaseline.

So after months of research and reading reviews about the quality of turbos that XMAN provides, I decided to bite the bullet and purchased a GTB1756VK with a welded transverse manifold. I also bought the braided oil feed kit and GTB downpipe flange.

The turbo arrived earlier than expected and so the project began. The initial fitting began well however, an adjustable actuator bracket was needed (also supplied by XMAN quickly) to move the actuator away from the driveshaft. I also purchased a oil return line kit which is required to reconnect back to the car.

The stopscrew and actuator adjustment took a few trys to achieve the best spool without massive exhaust manifold pressure (EMP), but nothing testing. http://www.hidden-power.co.uk (Faboka) provided the mapping.

Initial driving results?

Seat thrusting, laugh out loud power which is delivered as a slap in the face! Surprises every boy racer, shrinking their manhood like a hamster in a snowstorm. Unwise passengers claw at the door cards when at full throttle and then are overwhelmed by giggles.

Dyno result?

Best run - 230bhp and 410ft/lbs

Thanks XMAN!

These GTB1756VK's don't seem to mind standard clutches...    Joe's pulled 370ft/lbs and he's still on his standard clutch despite much abuse!!

I guess it's because the car isn't very heavy try it on Octavia or VW Passat you will see what happens then...

Are these turbos still available? How much for a 2260vk to suit a BLT Fabia supplied with a downpipe flange and oil feed pipe and return pipe if I collected it?
