Passenger Drivers Side Rear Door Lock And Electric Window

Featured Replies

I have an Octavia Combi 4x4 which has recently had a new battery, might be relevant? The drivers side rear door seems to have given up electrically, i.e. the electric window will not work and neither will the door lock. No sound comes from the door when I press the lock button on the key fob. No warning lights are displayed on the dashboard.

Firstly, is it possible to manually lock the rear drivers side door as it is currently stuck in the open position, which is obviously not ideal!

Secondly, could it be a fuse problem? I have had a couple of issues with fuses on this car.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated as I am pretty useless when it comes to mechanics.

Thanks

have you replaced your car battery with the driver's door left opened...???

Regards
