Fabia Vrs headlight issue

Featured Replies

Hi all, I'm having an issue with my 04 Fabia Vrs. The driver side dipped headlight won't come on. I've replaced the bulbs both sides, changed the fuse (which was fine) and still no joy. The indicator on that side stays lit while the headlights are on but still flashes when indicating. Hopefully I've overlooked something obvious!

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Is the connector the right way round? (Daft as it sounds)

So indicator is solid on when you have dipped beam turned on, but not indicating?  That is well odd, especially as it derives from a separate electrical circuit within the indicator push/twist fitting.

Check the connector on the back of the dipped beam bulb is on right though,  There's usually a "natural" way round which doesn't involve the wires tightening up when pushing the connector onto the 2 strips on the back of the bulb.

Have a look at the plug to see if it's corroded or even plugged in properly. I've found that to be a problem a few times on various cars

The main plug at the rear of the headlamp I mean.
