Hi all

Hope someone replies to this topic as I'm travelling tomorrow and need to use Google maps navigation on my phone

I have a 2016 Skoda Fabia Tour de France edition, bought in France and it came with a simply clever pack with a  Phone mount fixed but moveable which is placed at the rear of the passenger seat, so that a rear passenger could use it but surely it must be able to be moved around?

Does anyone know how I can fix it near the front screen, so that I can see my route?

Thank you"

As you can no doubt tell, that mount is designed to fit between the headrest posts. There's no other place to fix it. It's a multifunction mount which you can clip in various accessories, such as coat hanger, tablet mount, etc.

  • From experience these weighted solutions are rubbish. In the event of an impact or sudden jolt (potholes for example) you have the base and a 130g+ piece of tech flying around the cabin. No thanks

  • A bean bag for £19 - and you think Brodit is overpriced  Okay, save a quid - get it from Amazon.

  • Brodit might be expensive compared to a bean bag but you get what you pay for, I paid for a quality phone holder and that's what I got!

I wouldn't want to be driving a car with that holder if the side curtain airbags go off. That and the phone will become a lethal missile, with no predictable outcome in the direction it get sent.

I use a pound shop vent holder, sits low enough to be below the airbag deployment area

Here's a link to the one I was referring to:
