Meteor grey hatch

Featured Replies

Can't make up my mind on colours for a VRS hatchback, loads of folk seem to be going for Race Blue (nice) or Candy white, I'm starting to settle on Meteor grey with the black pack but i need to see one just to be sure.

This is what i've ordered. I have pictures on my laptop but I don't know how to upload them? I see a 'My Media' option on this posting tool here next to the faces? Not sure if this is how to do it?

I love Meteor Grey. It look great with the black pack, and you can bet your backside that it will look unique on the road!

It will become invisible in the mud left behind a lorry or concrete mixer on a wet day.

Maybe this button will be useful for it too, perhaps an adaptive camouflage.

Sorry couldn't find the right thread, still like the 'Meteor Grey' though

Oops they forgot to paint it send it back!

Class colour love it! Race blue has been done to death at this stage move on guys.

Just seen a standard octavia today in race blue so it's no longer the vrs exclusive colour.

Been told that meteor grey is only available on the vRS and before that Audi used it on the R8.

Totally understand the marmite view but I love Marmite.... Explains why my meteor grey vRS estate is due for delivery in week 47

When I made my first order (VRS hatch) at start of August I went for race blue. This is a beautiful colour and suits the car no end but being new to Skoda I didn't realise how popular it truely was and then I also found out it was no longer a VRS only colour. So when I decided to change to a VRS estate due to SUK telling me I probably wouldn't get my hatch till January, I decided I wanted a more unique colour or as unique as you can get on a car with only a handful of colours.

As most of you will know from my previous posts and my pic I went for meteor grey. When I first made my decision I was unsure if I'd made the right choice and pics online didn't really help as it would look completely different from one to the other, it seems to be a colour that digital cameras struggle to decide what it should exactly look like. After I spotted a Fabia in meteor grey I knew I made the right choice for ME. Also and I don't know if this is correct or not but my dealer says they have had a memo from SUK that meteor grey will only be available until a certain week, so should help make my car remain unique.

I'm loving the meteor grey and can't wait to get mine. On the plus side for us few Meteor Grey lovers, it's nice to know all the people that dislike it will be carrying a little bit of meteor grey with them on their VRS badges lol ;-)

As has been said on here before, colour is a VERY personal choice and is purely down to what YOU want / like. Don't make a decision on what I or anyone else likes, go for a colour that you like but also what matches your personality and which ever you go for it'll still be a cracking car :-)

Looking at the brochure right this instant, I would say avoid:

1. Black - It shows the dirt terribly and you'll always be washing it & any scratches show up horrendously.

2. Yellow - Unless you want to be known as Bananaman,

3. Meteor Grey - Bland, horrible & clay like. Blugh.

4. White - As per Black sans the scratches.

Best colours:

1. Race Blue - The classic colour for the car.

2. Rallye Green - Bold & Brash and an attention grabber, which looks great with the anthracite wheels.

3. Brilliant Silver - Smart without being extrovert, classy.

4. Corrida Red - A great colour for a sporty car.

Having had 2 blacks and a white for my last cars... I have to disagree. ;-)

All the reasons why Rallye green is a bad colour

Probably right because you stand out like the proverbial sore thumb to the rozzers.

You must have spent all of your spare time cleaning the wretched things then. I don't have the time.

My VRS hatch is meteor grey black pack and anthracite alloys; still pleased with my choice. The more bles the better. Please no one else order this colour it will help with disposal ££££££££

But why pick a colour that stands out all? I wouldn't want my car attracting attention from anyone.

Some people like the attention. I nearly ordered a Rallye Green one myself, but when it came down to the crunch I didn't know if I could live with such a bright colour & I wondered what the resale values later on would be, so played safe with the Blue,

I would have liked to have had a Pacific Blue one but it's not available for vRS.

Thinking of changing my mind on the vrs estate colour, from candy to the grey primer,i think it will look better on a bigger car, dealer said iv got a few weeks to decide, also if a couple of bits are being dropped off the vrs,i might get it for free,i can only ask

Anymore pics of meteor grey estate, particularly the rear and black pack, just needing to be sure before changing my order, thanks

Here's a few more.

Go yellow. On second thoughts, don't it'll become like race blue. Quite like the rallye green myself but as I'm not having an Octy 3 it's not an issue.

Those are probably the best photos I've seen of this colour on line. Like I said above it seems that digital cameras can't seem to decided exactly how meteor grey should look.

It also shows just how bad the optional leather is!

Noticed that on a few press pics and is the main reason for me scratching the leather from my order. Looks poor.

great pics by the czech guy, noticed rear heated seats button on rear console with air vent? heated rear seats as well would have been worth the leather costs. Part of leather pack or winter pack?

If you're in the UK, neither!

Fronts only I'm afraid. Or so I believe.
