What's the mileage on it now?

9,500 Martyn, I've done nearly 6,000 in the year I've had it.

Average mpg on the display is 19.6. I don't have the guts to work it out in real terms.

Quite impressed how the tyres are holding up too.

Have done Snetterton and Silverstone on these tyres, as well as 5,000 road miles and they are not quite half worn yet with no uneven tyre wear.

That's good to know. I know tyres are expensive but for the money it's good value

Nissan tries to charge £3,200 per set of 4 tyres, but will haggle down to about £2,000.

This is because they have a special deal with Dunlop, effectively cornering the market so you can only get them through a Nissan dealer.

Unfortunately for them a fair number of GT-R drivers are now on Michellins, the MPSS. Partly because of Nissan's daft pricing.

These are around £1,100 per set.

(which considering what they have to do is a bit of a bargain)

Not got any track time though, it sold out in January!!!

I'll be on the Skyline Owners Club stand, should be around 40 Skylines and my GT-R.

I'm sure you'll find it if you can find the stand.

I think the Replay XD cameras come with a small clear circular sticker that you are supposed to fit over the mic to cut down on wind noise, by chance did you fit it?

A clip from the Honda Type R engined Lotus Elise we had a play with.

Also found out that the Evo I was unable to keep up with was a 500bhp stripped track set up car.

I was about a second a lap slower.

More than happy with that !!

When you consider it's an 1800kg road car on road tyres and the only car I couldn't catch was a stripped out 500bhp lightened Evo running track spec driven by a driver who really knows Castle Combe it's very impressive.

I was about a second a lap slower than that going round in 1:16 to 1:17.
