When I bought it last year, the Nissan had just had a years tax put on it.

Just had to pay £490 for another year... :wonder:

  • Right.   I gave myself a good talking to and popped out for a little bonding with the new car.   Holy moley it's even more bonkers than I remember the last ones being. Yes, they have worked a lot

Bargain! A Mazda 3 MPS is only slightly less than that.

You can insure a HGV for that! what are the CO2 figures for it?

And remember rather than tax carbon monoxide belching cars the government should realise that if it wasn't for cars like the GTR all the trees would suffocate, they need carbon monoxide...

Pretty sure they need carbon dioxide? Or am I thinking of something different?

It is close, I bet some trees take a little of both lol, now back to the Nissan.

The reminder said £475, but they put it up in the budget to £490 after they sent it out.

Wow - forgive me for stating the obvious but that is not cheap but I guess nothing on the GTR is cheap!! suppose its all relative though

Even so don't think I will be buying this one off you Rich

And I though £280 was expensive when I taxed the volvo yesterday! Not that it's a shade on the Nissan.

P.S some nice driving Richard.

I was about a second a lap slower than that going round in 1:16 to 1:17.

Makes me feel better I squeezed a 1:24 out of the mongrel then :D

I taxed mine last month - only £120. Something to be said for TDI ownership I guess.

Silverstone again today... :)

Quite a few Porsche GT3 RS there, may have been a club day.

Several despatched. :giggle:

Watch out for the seriously rapid 1960's Lotus Cortina!

Looks like you had a great day Richard, I have to say De Ja Vu, Lotus Elise and a VX 220 but nowhere near as quick as those at CC! Lotus Cortina's are quick cars, super lite and I guess with the Lotus twin cam?

The Nissan was beasting around mullering most things in its path, why was it red flagged?

Thanks for sharing.

Someone had a moment, ended up in the kitty litter I think.

No bad crashes all day, just a few offs and spins.

Quite a mixed field from the Clio to Porsches, Lotus Cortina and of course the GTR. Good to hear no bad crashes.

What car are you taking to Bedford?

Yeti. :D

I won't beat that

I'd like to run the Nissan round there one day, but not on a Brisky event.

Plus I don't think the Citigo will be done.

So it's going to have to be the family/tow car.

I like the look of Bedford, I have been swatting up on youtube etc, but I have to say after the brake issues at CC with our Fabia I have to be a bit careful as it is the wifes daily drive.

I took all the pads out and scrubbed them up with a rough sanding disc, they were super shiny and had surface cracks in them, so I guess they were hot.

Once I have Golf ready maybe Bedford will be a good venue for an evening test drive.

It was a fantastic day. Thanks again Richard :) we were certainly on an overtaking mission :)

Just had a look at the layout for japfest and you lot (gtroc) are in the area next to us (gt4oc) so im defo gonna pop over for a look at this beast :D

Despite being a GTROC member I'm on the Skyline Owners stand... :)

It's area 1 (yellow) by the driver briefing hut/pits.

Was about to say something about you wanting to stand out amongst normal skylines rather than all gtrs....but its bright yellow and you do that anyway :giggle:

It was a great day. Nice election of other cars too.

When I get chance I'll edit a bit of footage from all three cameras together, but it's going to take a while so will have to wait a bit.

Have I waited long enough for more videos :-)

Hehe just seen those vids from the vx and elise

Mate at that point you really see how good you did :)

That really was awesome bond style driving mate :)

I still grin at the thought or talking about it, i just find explaining how nuts both you and the car actually were

Maybe like a devil crazed stig in a nutcase machine :D

Sorry Charlie, just not had the time!

Was at Japfest yesterday and will be at Brands Monday evening.

Balancing family, Skoda and Jap stuff is time consuming, not to mention working to pay for it!
