So when you selling this one? LOL. A stunning car Richard, absolutely lovely!

Give me what I paid and you can have it this afternoon.

It's nice, but I'm feeling a bit GT-R'd out at the moment. :D

  • Right.   I gave myself a good talking to and popped out for a little bonding with the new car.   Holy moley it's even more bonkers than I remember the last ones being. Yes, they have worked a lot

If I had it my friend it would be winging it's way to you and I'd be over to collect her. :D Going to consider cars over the next month or so, as mine is finished off to how I want her and collate some funds. Won't be R34 money unfortunately but we'll see what happens. I've still not decided fully about LSD on the white Fabia and I'm waiting on the Black Fabia still.

PM me tonight's Euromillions numbers in the next hour, and I'll buy it from you. ;)

Yes! That will be fantastic

When was the first race meeting? Will try to make it there. :-)

  • 2 months later...

A few months since the last update.

Had an attack of common sense, Skyline prices were firm and so I had a mass sell off.

Kept the best (lightly modded) R34 and my lovely R32.

Spent the rest on something else...  which is easier to park, insure and tax than five Skylines it replaced.

Man maths, expert level....................Fecking Phd level!!!

Fixed that for you.... :p

Very nice Richard, love the colour! I can't help but think that this is a crisis car?... if you know what I mean... :p

Now i'm no expert with McLaren model names... so what on earth is it? 67543576838 LT? :p

Most certainly a crisis car.  A great big one!

Never had a V8, rear drive high power car, convertible or fancy supercar before.

This is those all rolled into one. :D

It's a 650s Spider.

10 months old, 4,000 miles.

Ex-McLaren show car with pretty much all the optional bits and bobs.

Man maths and man logic right there, love it! Enjoy!

I've got a sort of sensible question; does the aerodynamic braking from the flappy spoiler offset the loss of downforce from it jumping up vertically or not?

When it goes up vertically, it's not quite vertical.  So it still provides some downforce I believe.

I can see it now...he drives up to the dealers in a certain "Yeti" & sets out his request to the salesman:- "V8, rear drive, high power, convertible, fancy, supercar"

BUT with the caveat of "it must be faster than that car" & points to the "Yeti"...whereupon the salesman laughs & says "I think that we can do that easily sir"...

Richard then replies "No you don't understand...let me take you for a test drive"....

:D

Dude, this has got to be a thing, preferably with a concealed camera aimed at the salesman!

Dude, this has got to be a thing, preferably with a concealed camera aimed at the salesman!

If the dealers do not know he has a certain "Yeti" then he could go back & "complain" that his new car feels slow compared to his old car & set it up for a test drive...maybe at a track day driver/customer event perhaps???

Ultimate trolling...

Oh.

My.

God.

That is all   B)

I do worry for his bank manager as we all know how this plays out.....

Couple of Fabia's, ends up being a complete obsession with all FG versions (& spare duplicates) like a perverse OCD...

Then I fancy a Skyline.....

or two...

or three...

or four.....

or five.....

Who wants to open a book up on how long until Richards Macca starts multiplying?.... :D

PS that video just shows how good the old skyline is (even modded), also shows how good the V8 is in the Macca & the suspension, you can tell you were both giving it as you can see the 4WD system twitching the R32 (I keep thinking Golf) around on some of the curves, so a RWD (from the best in suspension/handling) doesn't too do badly....

Awesome video and car. You seemed to be toying with the GTR to start with, on first  glances, but more viewing you can see you're new to the car and trying to get used to it's characteristics. Not taking anything from the 32 as that went really well, it showed, but the video does highlight the differences between the two. Bar the Asbo orange of course. ;)

The more you get used to it, like you have now the Yeti (well it's last incarnation anyway), then the more profound the differences will be between the two.

I still can't wait to see this in the flesh!! :D

Nice one Richard, come to your senses at long last and bought one decent car lol.. Just needs stickering up and entering into the British GT series, maybe next season?

Hopefully see you and the car at next meet or Brands?

Happy motoring mate, enjoy it. :)

Can't wait to see the picture of this one in the parent & child parking bay at the supermarket.

Next level **** B)

Wondered how long before picks of the Orange one appeared on here.

It looks even better in the flesh, lovely car.

Thought I'd pop something up here where everyone doesn't have to fall over it.

Bit conscience about going "Oh look, I've got this" in the general section.

No doubt when it goes later in the year GT-R service will resume, and probably run alongside it anyway. :D
