Does anyone work at Skoda Finance? - no answer!

Featured Replies

I've been trying to contact someone at Skoda Finance all day today to discuss my HP agreement. Over 2 hours on an 0870 number!!!

Just a very annoying piano tune interspersed with "Currently,we are experiencing high call volumes, we thank you for your patience"

I've tried the "leave a message option" to find that has the same queue - currently sitting here at 20 minutes and counting to leave a message!!

Is this normal??

I've sent an email about an hour aqnd a half ago but no reply there either.

Starting to get very very annoyed...... :finger:

Have you been on line to see if there is an alternative number? Www.saynoto0870.com

I had the same problem last week when i needed a settlement figure for my new motor. In the end I gave up after over 2 hours and went to local Skoda Dealer and they did one for me there and then so long as you have your agreement number and proof of ID (photo drivers license or passport)

 01908 485000

they answer as VW/Audi finance but its the same thing! (the Skoda finance is through VWAG Finance)

If its just a settlement figure then its all done automated, takes 3 min max!

Unfortunately Ford required it faxed or emailed so i needed to talk to someone they wouldnt take a verbal settlement figure.

No real excuse in this day and age to keep a person on hold for over two hours !

I had the same problem so I contacted my local dealer who gave me a number that they use.

I think it by passes the usual channals and you get straight through. I've lost the number though, try your dealer.

definetly no excuse for being on hold, id give Skoda customer service a call and request some money back for the call!  there free number is  01908 601601 ask for skoda customer service

When you get the finance quote automatically they sent out a letter within a few days with the settlement figure on it as well. but that all depends how soon you need the settlement figure.

Why cant the other garage get the information for you?

Tried that, (its the VW/SEAT/AUDI finance number too) tried the number on my agreement - theyre all the same. I can wait up to 60 minutes at no charge - but what the point of a "leave a message and we'll ring you back" option that just is the same queue......

Don't want to involve dealer (who said any finance queries have to go through the number on the agreement)

I don't believe they have that many people calling them.....

Frustrated is putting it mildly.

OK this is getting ridiculous.....I have the option to put it in writing (withdraw from HP agreement within 14 days - provided I can still retain the free servicing) but am running out of time - will a fax do as well as a letter?

Register at http://www.vwfinance.co.uk

You can do everything on there like make/change payments, settlement figures etc etc.

You need your agreement number to set it up for the first time.

I have 2 emails from Skoda, rather Vwfs, saying they will honour the free servicing if you withdraw from the agreement which is what I have done.

If you are feeling brave you can pay off (withdraw within 14 days) your agreement by internet banking using their account details from the Vwfs website quoting your agreement number as the reference. If you are running out of time and can't get the figure from them add, say £15 or £20, per £5k of your loan that should cover the interest for the few days.

If you get a settlement figure (after 14 days) it will be more than the above.

I am not a financial expert and you have to decide what to do in your circumstances. Hope it all works out.

When I was trying to ring them all the numbers I could find on the internet led to the same queue and lack of response.

Your agreement should detail the daily interest charge during the 14days.

Mines something like £1.20/day

I had a similar problem contacting Skoda finance a few weeks ago. Around 2.5 hours on hold over 2 days.

I complained and was credited £25.00 to my account to pay for the telephone calls which I think would have been around £10 (on my tariff) and then as compensation for my inconvenience.

I was told that they are soon moving to larger premises and will employ a significant number of more staff. Can't come too soon but at least they acknowledged the issue.
