Cheap Supermarket Air

My farts are the way forward, especially after I've eaten cabbage, sprouts, stuffing & runner beans.  :@

And you get an aromatic tyre deflation warning for the deaf.....

I actually fill mine with expanding foam, no punctures and I get roughly 900 miles to the gallon.   They are rather hard though and the ride is terrible

  • I find that my 0-60 times drop by 0.3 sec with premium air and the radio reception drastically improves along with the sound quality...

  • I cannot fathom why you lot are using air in your tyres? Custard I can kinda understand but let's be honest jam is the best. Tyres are really just big doughnuts and we all know the jam filled ones are

When i serviced my car i changed the air in the tyres........wow,what a improvement.......i now get 95 mpg & the car now accelerates faster than a 2.0 fabia......im thinking i should change the air in the tyres every 2 years like the brake fluid!

No needs to be done annually or every 5000 miles otherwise the unicorn flange will fail.

I'm thinking of doing away with tyres altogether now it is winter.

I'm fitting skis at the front and caterpillar tracks at the rear. I reckon that will be cheaper than winter (not M+S) tyres, and return better mpg and performance.

I get the added advantage of looking cool.

No I just light a match & make several billion pounds worth of improvements to the locale!

I have several large sheets of bubble wrap going to waste. Can I use the air from this or is the nitrogen content too low

Pop it under the tyres and you'll find out.

All the other claims in this topic I can believe, but that? - impossible.

The plastic in bubble wrap contains too much oil, use air from that and you'll be skidding all over the place.

It's OK, I fitted the winter tyres today :)

Sorry to say this but, for the moment you can no longer option Air form Champagne and Chardonnay (ACC) .

Apparently there has been such a great demand that they cannot get enough supplies. It' alleged the French are drinking too much of the stuff.

The Yabadabadoo option is also to be withdrawn until they can source the correct holes and air, finding the holes is not a problem they are having problems stabilising the air in the hole due to small differences between different air suppliers supermarket and non supermarket.

I've managed to get hold of some of that new inverted air. When you get a flat tyre, the flat bit goes to the top so you can still drive on the rest of it.

.

Which you inflated with winter air I hope?  They don't work with summer air.  Obviously.

I think "supply" is just another excuse from SUK - clearly it is a design fault as there is plenty of air in Champagne, but Chardonnay is essentially flat.  I wouldn't trust it anyway, that French air - ride quality might be good, but it has long had a reputation for poor quality and unreliability.

What happens when the French air goes on strike?

It probably doesn't matter - the car will have been torched by then.

If you want to try something different Nitrous Oxide is always good for a laugh.

When I'm not using my winter tyres I make sure i remove all winter air in them... don't worry I dont waste it I bottle it and but it on a shelf in the garage. Then I hang the tyres using sky hooks! Talking about the garage, I really must get round to buying some tartan paint to spruce it up a bit.

Use helium in your tyres.

Makes the car lighter and is better on acceleration and economy as a result of this.

I too use helium, i mainly get it from discarded birthday ballons and the like - transferring it can be a headache as you have to inhale and then exhale into a gizmo attahced to the tyre valve. Overinflation is an issue - the roadholding and traction are noticably reduced when the front tyres are in the air!

you're a real gas.

Sorry I got the wrong part number when I looked in the European, Korean and Taiwan Air catalogue (EKTA) and the part has been updated due to issues with it not working correctly and the new part uses  Air from Champagne and Cidre not to be confused with Cider.

It's alleged the delays are due to the air extraction process, it has been outsourced to Willy Wonka Umpa Lumpa's, they have to drink barrel loads of Champagne and Cidre and then sent to the squeezing room to get the air out - well if they can get there.

My concern is SUK offering 0% air percentage rate so what are they really using?

The rate of inflation.  :D

Slightly off topic but now worried I am washing my car using the wrong grade of water and will invalidate the bodywork warranty- had a look in the manual and couldn't find any numbers that resemble the local spec- advice please?

You'll find the recommended grade of water has been designated the code Tapon-H²O.

If you order Tapon in bulk you get the bonus pack of pure O.

You wouldn't want to put dirty air in the tyres after you've spent all afternoon making the car all shiny, would you?

Regarding correct water usage for cleaning your Skoda, I'm a professional car valeter and i don't go near bodywork with any other water than that of tears from a new born Unicorn. It is the purest water available with no salt content.
