There was swearing involved, but I was able to get them off, painted and back on in a day. Didn't need to use ramps, but did need to get my head under the rear end to find the screws. Also look at pictures of the exhaust tips themselves. Gives you an idea where the screws are going to be, and a short ratchet screwdriver helps. Oh yes. Remember how you take the exhaust one out once the screws are out. As you will need to do the reverse getting in, and it is a bit fiddly.

 

But I would go and do it. Looks a lot better, and less faff to clean.

That was nice!

 

Had my exhausts painted when it was in the body shop having some accident damage repaired.....

 

The paint felt a bit tired after almost two years of daily use on our lovely salty Swedish roads, so it was time for a detailing. I had to use some cutting compund on the hood and along the pillars, then the whole car was polished with CarPro Essence and then protected with CarPro Reload. I'm very happy with the result.

@brettikivihow are the Dunlops Blue Response feel for Octavia (had driven them on another car, very quiet and plenty of grip for 1st year)..

Can't really say too much, apart from not bad. Quiet on good asphalt, noisy on poor (as expected). Decent levels of grip, but there's too much roll for me to push much. 

 

Wet roads are just starting here, so will report back after the summer trip.

Went out for a cycle ride with the family at Trawsfynydd Lake, thought the car looked quite nice by the dam, shame there's a wall!

Here's my vRS 230 after finally getting my door dent sorted... and then the overspray caused by the repair place... I went all out with a thorough clean at the weekend.

Hi all. Recently got my octy and loving it. Chuffed with ledperf plate lights. Finally no more errors as didn't wanna mess with vcds. A lovely lovely car.

3 months in and just under 5,000 miles my 4x4 is just starting to loosen up nicely!

Only just got it but thinking it could do with some lowering... 

my latest upgrade to my vrs mk3 diesel sounds mint and i think looks great, what your views 

I think 4 pipes are overkill for such a ride, but if you were seeking for this particular look, seems the guy below did pretty god job. Make a nice video so we can hear it.

 

BTW, nice color choice. Can't be better.

New wheels are on. Just need to wind it down a bit more and put the centre caps on.

Taste is subjective, but not sure about these wheels - I think they fit better a rounded car and the Octavia is quite angular.
