:bump: According to the "top 1000" teams we had the biggest single WU production score total in the team's history - 3380 points - now up to 282 in the rankings! http://statsman.info/folding2stats

Me too since I ticked that option you pointed out!

Current one on this PC is 25m a frame, over 2 days to complete. :(

They all speed up marginally when the PC isn't being used anyway! ;)

Having said that I checked mine this morning and it was up to over 26 mins a frame now.

times and points scored keep moving all the time.......I'm trying to catch you up ............can you slow down a bit

Hows the car .....any closer to completion?

I now have 2 folding clients on one PC ;) Jumped up 2 places since yesterday too :D

Dual processors can handle 2 clients if you install one graphical client then install another text only client and configure it to use the second CPU. Instructions are on the folding website.

Well, it hasn't helped me climb up the ranks at all, but I'm now on 3 WU and 1,205 points :D

So I may not be gaining position, but I'm the highest with that few WUs

I run 2 text clients on the same pc

copy the exe file to 2 separate folders, run the config on each one separately, then what you do is go into the advanced config options on each one, then on the 1st one enter machine number 1, and on the 2nd one enter machine 2.

 Quality not quantity. ;)

couldn't agree with u more ;)

having said that... it's said I'm not gonna finish the new WU until the 21st!! Must be another biggie.....

Big  to everyone still folding away :)

I could never have thought that we would end up with such a following.. slowly advancing up the table

The overtake stats are really encouraging ... almost everyone else in the top 200 is folding more slowly than briskoda so our position can only continue to improve. And only one other team below us, in the top 200, is folding more quickly than us, so there's little threat to our position from below. :)

I've now got all of the PC's in our office running the client, currently running 5 of them and have another 2 to bring online next week.

Whats the best way to achieve big points? big work units or lots of small work units?

Tick the option to allow work assignments of greater than 5MB - get bigger work units, but bigger points too if they're processed swiftly. ;) Its in the "configure" bit of the setup, right click on the rose in the taskbar. :)

but beware this... if ya get a big one, it can take over 100mb of RAM.. and its non-paged too.. so will slow things down if youve got less than 512mb

Good warning! I didn't realise that the bigger WUs would occupy more RAM too. :) Good job my two machines have a gig each then. ;)

So, the key to big points is completing the biggest work units in the shortest possible time? i.e. Doing as much folding as possible.

I believe so. :D But the scoring is still a little vague to me. Wonder how 150 point units which take 24 hours, score compare to a bigger one which takes 3 days. In theory, if the 3 day one scores more than 450 points, then its better. ;)

Have signed up. My pc in the dining room is on 24/7 and sits there doing nothing most of the time. Not now it wont.

Another one added to the Brisky team

Its predicting just over 1 day to finish it, so looks like a smallish one to start me off!

Out of interest, does the PC need to be online all the time, or just when i finish one unit and start another?

as far as I can tell.... it only needs to be online to start/finish a WU... cos mine carries on folding when I'm not online :)

welcome aboard Andy :D

Just at the end/beginning of each WU - however if you're not online when it finishes and tries to send it back to FAH HQ, you might lose the WU? Not got that issue as I'm on 24/7 anyway.
