I had one of those recently - Took 4 days solid to get it done - got about 900 points for it though.

Thats good then, coz i've got 4 of those that are being worked on at the moment (around 24min/frame 250frames-completion approx early hours thur morn).

That might see me move another couple of places :)

:bump: According to the "top 1000" teams we had the biggest single WU production score total in the team's history - 3380 points - now up to 282 in the rankings! http://statsman.info/folding2stats

Just checked my folding farm as I was worried some PC's had stopped - turns out they're all just folding massive W/U's :D

Just completed my 30th WU, only got bloody 79 for it though, nevermind a step closer to the top (now on 5779)

my last one was 125 frames... got about 400 for it. Now on a 250 frame one... few days to go.... last 250 got me 600 points :) Think my smallest one so far has been 241 - the very first one i did!

NVM, every unit is one more completed, no matter how big or small ;)

Does anyone know if the folding service (text only console) starts before a user logs in?

I wander round the office and turn on peoples PC's with the folding client on them but dont log anyone on.

can't be certain... but I know on mine that folding only starts after I'm logged in - then again, I'm not using the text only version, so it could be different? not much help sorry ;)

The graphical one lauches from the startup file so wont start until log-on

If you set it up as a service it will, if you don't, it won't.

Also be careful if you run XP in multi-user mode. You definitely want it run as a service in that case as otherwise you may be starting the same client multiple times which will usually lead to it crashing itself and you not receiving many points :(

Latest WU just scored me 600points :D (a 250 framer at 24 mins per frame) thought it might see me move into 21st spot, but 21st has just completed one themselves lol

I just completed a couple of big "250 frames @ 30 mins a frame" WUs and has jumped me up nicely too. Got a very decent weekly total of 2600ish, my highest yet I think.

Upto 21st (coz of another 600point biggy + another smaller one).....but OMG the latest WU just downloaded is saying 16092m/Frame

That should speed up though. I noticed its always highly pessimistic once it kicks off a WU.

hmmm.... Andy has managed to complete a WU despite being on holiday in a tent .... ;)

Another good link here too....

Allows you to see how much you've moved up/down the league(within our team)' date=' although it does seem a bit behind the time, as iam now on over 7000 ponts and 21st not 22nd as it states.[/quote']Dammit - by overtaking me, after I'd been stuck at 21st for months. :(

My folding will slump over the next week as I'm off on holiday and my boss will keep turning my PC off over night/weekends :(

For the second time i've just had a comp crash when trying to run the graphical client (win 2000)after installing. Mind you the similarities are that the pc's are of the same brand/ build hmmm there both P4's though 1.6GHz and 512Mb mem

Any known issues with this software client crashing certain comp configurations?

I would have been upto 7 if they would have run it :( Nvm

No hard feelings mate

If its any concillation i dont think i'll be at 21st in about a weeks time, but may well just have broke the top 20 :D

Just added it to my machine that is on 24/7

Cheers

Your points per WU rate is quite amazing  - god only help us if you get a network of machines together like you mentioned.

Well done,

Lee

the next one looks like it's gonna be just as big if not bigger... 400 frames, and it's predicting it'll finish on Aug 27

Gonna leave my pc folding away while I'm away next week ;) but it'll be a wee while before I can get a network set up.... few weeks anyway - and you'll have disappeared off into the points distance lol - so I won't be any danger to you ;)

No hard feelings mate

My machine seemed to have been going to sleep after a few hours' inactivity but I've changed the settings. Then there was lightning last night so we had a power cut - d'oh!

It's not a very fast machine anyway, so not a lot I could do - I do have a few old PCs lying around but they are even slower so probably not worth the effort of getting them going on it.

Well done on your rate anyway, 150. :)
