Octavia vRS MK1 - Blue Badges?

Featured Replies

Hi,

Can anyone help me.....

Bought my vrs mk1 on a 03 plate and love it but in a strange twist it has blue skoda badges front and back!

It has the green calipers, green air valves covers and green skoda badge in the steering wheel but blue badges on the outside!

Can anyone tell me if this was the way they came as new? I want to keep it as original as poss so if it came with blue badges I'm gonna have to live with it! If not I will change for green ones

Thanks

Will be an aftermarket add on or potentially the original green badges have faded to a bluey colour

The bonnet and boot badges should be the same same colour and style as the one in the steering wheel

My front badge had faded to a bluey colour before I replaced it.

Cheers guys I didn't think it was right!

I will get on to ordering some shiny new green ones!

My Octy 03 estate I picked up a few weeks ago is the same! Must have faded like @softscoop says. The rear is still green though.

I'm going to replace for these newer style.

Have you thought about the new badges? Some like them, Some don't. I think they look smarter than the old ones though

IMO the old badges look better ...skoda have just copied the vauxhall badge in the new style one.

Yeah I was wondering if I should go for the new style as I do like them but I think I do like idea of keeping it looking original so prob go for the green ones. Thanks again for your replies.

On a totally separate issue does anyone know if a mk2 onwards stereo fits the mk1?

Apparently not, but I've been told that the Superb's CD player will fit with no extra wires needed and it will also play the cd's from the 6 disc changer, so 7 discs in total....................

No doubts someone will be able to tell us if I'm wrong

Yup old badge was nicer

Bit of skoda green!!

Same with when they changed the vrs calipers from green to red?!!!!

Why!!!

Green is Skoda's colour not brembo wannabe red

You're right, either a MK1 Superb or Fabia CD player will fit, if you want an OEM double DIN, look for an MFD1  ;)

The new badge is more like the really old school Skoda badge. I prefer it.
