Thought I'd start a thread for December orders (I have searched and cannot find a similar thread). Got a feeling we'll be here a while so it might turn into more of a support group!

So I'll start:

Order: vRS TDi hatch, manual. White. Options of black pack, cruise control, canton, sunset glass, colour maxi dot, simply clever pack, spare wheel.

Order Status: ordered placed xmas eve, now accepted by the factory an allocated a provisional build week of week 21.

All being equal that'd be 28 weeks from order to delivery, allowing 3/4 weeks for transport!

Its gonna be a long wait!

I have the same provisional build week and ordered 27th December:

Probably expect it march 2017.

Ordered 17th and got told end of December that I have week 16 as a provisional wait, however when I last checked the order had not been accepted by skoda.

Ordered Candy white vRS hatchback, manual TDI, black pack, sunset glass glass, standard cruise control, colour maxi dot, winter pack and spare wheel.

It's the vRS that gas the huge wait times. I ordered in 27th December.

Ordered 19th Dec, no build week yet. I have ordered VRS TDI Estate in Candy White, black design pack, sunset glass and canton spoke to Skoda UK last week gave me my order number and was told ring back end of Jan no build date yet but was told don't take much notice when you get one as chances are it will move anyway.

Would that be a move for the good..or even worse? Not that it coukd get worse....could it?lol

Gave me the impression it would be for the better, basically said that once order received by factory it has to be given build week regardless, it is all then dependent on spec, colour etc as to when it hits the production line i look at it like this we will miss the rubbish weather it will deffo be a 14 plate, but yes it's going to be a long few months.

Yeah I would not want my 1 before the plate change also.

Only 3 weeks in... It's going to be a long winter and spring and possibly summer!

Just a waiting game now. I've set myself up for a late April/early May delivery. I guess if my order gets rejected for having the winter pack and being a TSI, the wait could be longer.

Not spoken to SUK yet so no idea on  factory acceptance or provisional build date.

The heated windscreen is not available on the TSI model in the UK, however dealers are able to select it. Some have been lucky enough to have their order accepted though.

I had the same problem , wanted the heated windscreen included in the winter pack but unable to order it :think: had to order everything else as seperate items!!  Andy

I hope I'm welcome to post here although I ordered my in the beginning of January

Ordered a black magic TDI 2.0 Elegance 4x4 last week with adaptive cruise, heater, off-road package, loading net, dynamic pack, kessy, 2 x mats, rear airbags and seat warmers.

This is my first post here so please excuse the stupid question, but how to you get to know the production week? Call the dealer and ask?

Just call Skoda UK they will ask which dealer you ordered from and when

There was a thread on here somewhere that said the alternator on the Tsi is not powerful enough to heat the windscreen as well as the rest of its duties.

@Lear76, once your order has been accepted you will be allocated a provisional Build week. Skoda or your dealer should be able to tell you this.

Heard nothing at all, emailed dealer yesterday about something else but did ask if they had any betterbidea than the 20 weeks I was given at order.

May ring SUK tomorrow to see if they have any ideas but am holding off as think I'll just end up depressed!

Wonder who'll be the first Dec order to take delivery and first to cancel?
