Send it back no actually, tell them you'll use it till they get you the correct interior fitted to a car, be it the current car or another new one.

Thats awful!Think I'd be asking for them to replace it with what you ordered, especially as waiting so long for these cars to arrive!

 

Ordered my vRS estate with a few extras including the 19" Xtremes and sat nav today and told August/September. Ordered from Lex who told me they get preferential delivery due to the amount of cars they order. Doubt that's correct but not overly bothered as I've got my current vRS until the date it comes even if that's in the winter.

Just ordered a Vrs combi as a company car through Lex, waiting for confirmation of delivery date. A link on their website says 16 to 24 weeks lead time which fits in with your delivery forecast. We shall see.

My vRS was ordered on 14th Dec and arrived at the dealer on Friday.

Have you decided what to do about the seats? I am sure that the dealers would have been open today to give you some options if you are not keen on the silver seats.... Definitely not ideal after waiting all that time!

Thats great news. Do you know if your car was a completely new order or if it was already in the system and was a cancelled or dealer stock car?

Any chance you can list spec/options too.

I'm just trying to see if there is a reason to why orders are built seemingly randomly.

We have another thread where somebody ordering in December has been told car will be built in August.

 

 

TDI Estate VRS are getting delivered!

 

So I now have my car.  Well sort of having got fed up my dealer found a cancelled order for me.  Not quite the spec I wanted and a different colour.

But now I have it I love it, colour too.

yes it was a new order, the spec was colour racing blue, keyless, cruise control, winter pack , leather, spare wheel, manual, I added quite a few extras about 8 weeks after initial order when they told me the wait would be a lot longer than they quoted at 5 weeks , been issued reg number today and pick up Thursday

we ordered the same day! mine should be at Sheerness so hoping only a week or so to go !

I ordered my petrol VRS Estate in metal grey (F6F6) on 23rd January with:

• Crew protection
• Black design pack
• Winter pack
• Columbus
• Sunroof
• Cruise control
• Spare
• Double sided boot covering

Just advised provisional build Week 25 with delivery in mid July. OK with that because it'll get the MY15 changes but strewth.

 

Cruise is now standard so something to negotiate there...

Advised provisional build week 26 and delivery "in July"......won't be far off what was promised when ordered so fingers crossed!

Oooh, someone else who has ordered the black pack on a black car... I did think it was a bit of a waste of money as the mirrors and roof rails (I'm getting an estate) are already black, but the less chrome there is on a car the better IMHO.  Seriously tempted to do what someone else posted on here and plastidip the exhaust outlets black as well :-)

I'm still provisional build WK 20 and now cheesed off as it'll be a my14 car and not a my15 car complete with standard cruise!

Dare I add something minor to the order to attempt to get it delayed a few weeks?!

6.9% APR now on the VRS so to finance will cost a hell of a lot more than £180 for cruise over when I ordered in December with 0% and 3 free services  !!!!

My car is in Sheerness. It has been since Friday. Oddly the dealer is in Newcastle-upon-Tyne so they couldn't have shipped to anywhere further away. 

 

Frankly, I've found the delivery more frustrating than the building. Nearly 2 weeks at the dockside in Germany, and now 5 days (and counting) in Sheerness!

I have ordered today a VRS TDI manual hatch for del October 1st 

The dealer lent me the demo today as it was December when I had a test drive. I hadn't driven a diesel as the previous demo was petrol having now driven the diesel I am more than happy that I have gone down the diesel route had it out for an hour on my own and am still smiling now. Definitely reminded me of why I am putting up with the wait.

Dealer also mentioned that I am showing bw 23 now which is first week of June last week they had me down for an august build so hopefully things are moving in the right direction. I am defiinately feeling better having had a drive. Hopefully the bw might come forward some more although that is probably wishful thinking.

Hi, Had a phone call from my dealer today and my car has been built and is in transit on its way to the docks   . Ordered 27th December.

 

My car arrives at the dealers either tomorrow or Thursday  Should be picking it up next week sometime,if all goes well . That's just over a week from being in transit to the docks at Emden to the dealers I was not expecting that
