Had another mail today off the dealer today, mine was due for delivery 29th of May, now they are saying end of June with no actual date :/

The only extras I placed were for heated seats and cruise control, but SUK have said that nearer the end of May if the situation is still the same (I.e. no build week) then they will try to get me a loaner car, but this apparently they can't promise. The dealer did confirm the order was accepted by the factory around the 11th of November.

I am currently designing a Skoda advent calendar for delivery, and in every window it says 'better luck tomorrow'! :p

My vrs tdi hatch in white with winter pack black pack and sunset glass turned up Monday evening so ordered 16th December and collection is 14th of April can't believe how lucky I am do feel for u guys waiting though fingers for ya

Just been racking my brain to try and come up with a logical reason why some orders are coming through quicker than others. I can only think of a few variables given apparently options are not an issue so SUK tell me.

It seems that both estates and hatches are coming through in a variety of colour so I am left thinking are they clearing orders by geographic location. Or most of the guys who have taken delivery could be fleet orders which are being given preference over everyone else?

I have asked SUK about the fleet possibility but they have surprisingly said they don't know and will have to come back to me.

Has anyone got any other thoughts as to why it doesn't seem the supply chain is following a logical process that I can see?

Dealer quotas, my own dealer and Skoda themselves have pretty much admitted that it is what is causing my hold up but will not give any further detail when pressed.

Hi guys, I ordered my VRS estate TDI on Dec10th, extras: cruise control and spare wheel, was expecting delivery for March, got a phone call from dealer end of Feb saying they didn't have a build date , as I was in no hurry I added winter pack , leather , kessy and heated seats, so after reading all the comments on this forum was expecting delivery July/Aug, to my surprise when I phoned Dealer on Monday to see if they had build date yet they told me it had been built and was being shipped and to expect delivery approx. 3 weeks , never thought i would be posting that. Good luck to the rest of you.

Lets face it SUK haven't a clue, and don't seem to be able/willing to push Skoda for answers. They have a set of excuses they give us all at different times. Chocolate Teapots!

Can't see this myself, BUT my dealer has got 3 people waiting on VRSs. Also interesting that my BW disappeared from the system just after my previously independent gareage was bought by a larger chain. (Sherlodge by Motorline). So if I cancelled and went to another dealer to see if there was a car being built to my spec, would I get it any quicker????

My dealer suggested they have delays right across the group (approx 5 Skoda showrooms) on the vRS specifically and then said "we can only have so many" but then when I pushed him as to specifics (numbers, time period etc) he very quickly clammed up!

Thought they must be well through the November orders by now. But reading this Forum, obviously not. My Vrs estate ordered 1st WK Nov. If all is going to plan all my car bits should be heading to the assembly line, or if really lucky, the paint will be hardening at Emden docks by now.... My dealer said he will keep me informed of progress once they release the chassis number....

Hold tight with the nerves all you December orders, You car WILL arrive, one day.

Woo who!  I rang the dealer today to change my order to the pictoris alloys, dealer rang back 5 minutes later, " sorry your build is now confirmed, bw20, you cant change"

Well... Confirmed bw trumps changing alloys... I can cope with my first choice.  Happy now.

I hate you!! Rang my Skoda today knowing the order system updates on a Thursday and guess what?! Still no confirmed build week.

Sorry fewie!  I feel for you. I know how much I was getting getting a distinct " I hate you! " feeling as more and more people started to get confirmed builds and even delivery.

All I can say is, the relief on hearing the words ' your build is now confirmed " made the frustrations suddenly fade.  Fingers crossed for you and every other December order ... Next Thursday... Hey you could still best me too, you could go straight to 17 next Thursday!

I thought they only confirmed build weeks 1 week in advance?

So did I which does make me wonder!  Dealer told me my build is confirmed though, and I wasn't able to alter my order.

Dealer called today and informed me that my car has been built fo 4 days and resides now at Emden docks awaiting shipping. For those of you who have been through this trial what does that actually mean to me...how long does this final bit take???

VRS Hatch,

Magic Black,

Columbus,

Full Leather,

Spare wheel,

Canton.

My car was at the docks on a Monday and arrived at my dealer 8 days later, which was Tuesday this week. I collect it tomorrow!!

Thanks for the heads up! Forgot to say ordered mine 3rd December as I know folk track this stuff.

Finally received confirmation from that BW 16 has now been confirmed.

For the past month the dealer had stated provisional BW of 15, whilst SUK have said provisional BW of 16. Both parties have now confirmed this week that BW 16 is confirmed at the factory.

Order placed on the 18th December for the following:

VRS TSI manual hatch in Metal Grey. Options:

Spare wheel
Colour Maxidot
Canton
Black Pack

SUK have advised to expect delivery in 3 and a half weeks from the end of BW 16. So that means expect collection sometime w/c 19th May.

The firm confirmed build week DOES only show the week before, However I was told that when it gets to less than a month the likely hood of any movement from the given provisional dates are extremely unusual.

Today is CC-day... Or collect car day!! I finally picked up my TDI hatch vRS, what a car...

I was smiling ear to ear when putting my foot down in 3rd and feeling the torque for the first time and I am looking forward to getting in it again and going for a drive

I have done about 50 miles today, mostly country driving followed by a couple of shorted in-town trips, which in turn sparked a DPF regen when I got home... Noticed when my SWMBO said, I smell burning after she got out the car. Thankfully having read all related posts on here so I was not panicing and said in a calm voice, "it's normal". This leads me on to thank the greater Briskoda audience for sharing and caring to make this site a fantastic and friendly resource for Skoda owners!

As soon as the gallery is working on here I will upload a few pics on the pic thread.

Yes, mine had regen around 60 miles, perfectly normal, like you I knew to expect it thanks to the info here :)

It may be a while before the gallery is fixed, set up a free photobucket account, it comes in handy ;)

Mid-December order initially given week 21 then that changed in January and moved to week 17 then out of the blue I received an email from the dealer an hour ago saying it's left the factory!

Wooooohoooo!

27th December - Ordered

6th January - BW 21 given

30th January - BW 17 given

9th April - Told it was built last week (BW 13) and on it's way

30th April - Pickup day (provisionally)

I was able to pickup a few days earlier but due to work commitments I can't get there at a reasonable time. So in all it will make it 17 weeks and 5 days which is under the original estimate of up to 6 months by quite a bit. It's going to be a long 2 weeks.
