I ordered my TDI vRS estate mid-November and I am looking at delivery early May..or so i've been told. This is better than some are managing, especially at the minute. I can't believe that the lead time for the vRS estate is up to 26 weeks, it is an incredibly poor business model by Skoda to allow one of their flagship vehicles be so disastrously effected by build times.

If you launch a new model, have a strong media campaign and a good and prolonged finance deal you have to expect a spike in orders, or were Skoda blissfully unaware that it might be popular?

Mine was originally due in the middle of March, but as I say it has slipped like so many others. However in fairness to the dealership they have organised a replacement car which is in the form of a 63 plate VW Passat estate. I don't know whether SUK or the dealers are picking up the cost from the hire company but at least i'm only have to put fuel in it.

This is some conciliation if the delivery time slips again I suppose, and after all the frustration and moaning, would I cancel the order...nah course not!

So AnthonyDi and SJFisher26 both ordered VRS estates after me and have had them built and on way.

Very happy for you guys but WTF is going on? SUK ring me every week to tell me no build date. That there is a delay on VRS models and no specific option is slowing things down.

I know its a great car, and I know I've got a deal I can't beat BUT Skoda are really taking the Mick now and it's hard to stick with it.

If it makes you feel better, I'm still waiting for a mid-September order.

It is built though.

Enjoy! I ordered 3rd December and informed build wk 14, don't know when I'll adjust the seat?

Hi Guys

Ordered 23rd Dec(vrs Estate Corrida red with black pack)and having rang Skoda UK yesterday, still no joy and no confirmed Build Week. I recall reading somewhere on here re dealerships being obliged to provide courtesy vehicles after a certain period? Or would this only apply had they given me a delivery date ?Thanks in advance !

Got a call today from my dealer... My car has arrived and I can collect it on Saturday! That will be 16 weeks and 4 days from order to collection. I think I'm one of the fortunate ones.

I ordered my car on December 23rd. I ordered the following:

vRS TDi estate
Manual
Black
Spare wheel
Heated front seats
Canton
Cruise Control
Panoramic sunroof

No build week yet (I checked with the dealer today). I was told, and am expecting, to see the car around May or June.

This car has now been built - BW15. It is coming to the dealers in this month's allocation so, due to my work, I am expecting delivery in early May. :)

I get the feeling it could get lonely for me on this thread...I'm still looking at bw19 AFAIK

As the original poster on this thread i think Skoda are reserving specialist treatment just for me. Looks like they are refusing to issue me with a build week until all other posters have received their cars!

Been on the phone yet again to SUK today, they cannot confirm a build week even though the order was put through on the 3rd of December. Getting well and truly fed up with this. I also find out that I am only 14 weeks in according to them rather than 17 due to a 3 week shut down that my dealer should have informed me about.

Just to top it off they cannot even guarantee me a hire car for a 500 mile trip I need to take to visit family in a months time. If they had explained all this up front I could of at least made an informed decision on whether or not to go ahead.

currently I have an expected but unconfirmed bw of 20 which means I may actually pick the car up in mid June although no one will confirm this. I have asked whether or not options being removed or colour change will bring this forward and apparently no specific thing is causing a delay so I have asked why some customers have already received vehicles no one seems to be able to answer this so far.

I have also asked if they can find a cancellation order with a similar spec would I be able to take the alternative vehicle on the same agreed finance package they have advised that they will need to investigate this and let me know. Have been promised a call by end of the week so will update with the response I receive.

I t would be good to get a group of us together to raise the issue with SUK see if they would attend a group meeting or something to give a full explanation of the problems.

I am having similar problems, but I ordered mine at the start of November :/

I ordered a white vrs estate TDI and I haven't even been given a build week! The delivery date has just been put further and further back and the latest is still the end of May. The dealer is none the wiser and Skoda UK are keeping tight lipped.

It's going to be worth it, isn't it?

I hope so. Seems that long since the test drive I can't remember if I am honest. I have been looking at other options but nothing ticks all the boxes like the vrs. I have asked my dealer for an extended test drive but they are swapping between demo models at the mo so will have to wait a few weeks. The lack of clarity and commitment is what I am really struggling with.

[group hug]  okay suddenly I don;t feel so lonely!   :hi:   Although having others in the same boat is no reasona to celebrate.  Hang in there gents...we deserve the lovely cars we are going to get [/group hug]

oh btw, after reading reports that the anthracite alloys get water damage quite quickly I'm thinking of changing to the silver 18" pictoris wheels....but nervous it might affect my build week!  any ideas if it would?

I had a provisional build week of 15 & the 19 fairly quickly after order but then at the end of Jan it dropped off the radar. At that point I added the winter pack and since then I've had no further update. I fear I may have introduced delays myself but can't prove it.

I'm tempted to change my colour too (to meteor grey) but I really can't risk any longer wait, patience isn't my best virtue

Yes it will be!

I ordered an Octavia Wagon end of October for delivery late January. The car was built 23rd December. It then sat on the wharf at Bremerhaven for 6 weeks waiting for a boat to NZ. I presume all the VWs and Audis had the same problem. Delivery 12th March 2014.

Was kept up to date by the dealer, he let me get my hands on a Maserati for a couple of hours for not making too much of a nuisance. Now got to sort out some rattles and vibrations. :@

This could be me. Same story but ordered the previous week (27/11).

But just to prove the SUK BS I was told it was 15-weeks not 17-week because of a 2-week shutdown!

Make me laugh they tell you to ask your dealer - they know as much as me as they rely on SUK too!

Anyone having cold feet on their November / December vRS order and fancy a way out / change?

I may be willing to take it off you for SWMBO if the spec is right ;)

Mid-December order initially given week 21 then that changed in January and moved to week 17 then out of the blue I received an email from the dealer an hour ago saying it's left the factory!

Wooooohoooo!

My Rallye Green Vrs combi has just rolled off the transporter at the dealers!

Is that a hatch or estate? In fact can you share the spec?
