Skoda Superb 100 Edition 55 Plate

Featured Replies

Hi Guys, I recently bought this car and was wondering if it had anymore value than a standard skoda superb.

it has 76K miles, interior is in fantastic condition, body work needs a little work but easy fixable.

Please advise.

I recently sold a 06 130PD Elegance,  it probably made only a little more than a basic spec but it sold very fast as it just was that much better equipped than a base version. A 1.9 with only 76k on the clock would be a very good purchase and at this stage there cant be many about with that low mileage.

5750 euro, probably not much help to you as car pricing is completely different over here. Friends in the trade said it was an OK deal. I could have got more with more time but  a 2010 CR170 Superb showed up with just under 19k miles at reasonable money and I ended up with two cars

So do you think £4000 would be a reasonable price for the car?

Sorry but I don't know the UK price range for such a car but I'm sure others will be along to point you in the right direction.

At the age they are now, my personal view is that spec will be of little consequence compared to condition.

But I'm getting a feeling of de ja vue that we've had this conversation before, so it's probably worth searching back a ways.

Spec level makes a difference to how quickly you can shift the car I think - Elegance or L&K sweetens the deal so to speak, while the more basic models tend to stay around for longer, which is annoying if you are trying to sell quickly as you have set your eyes on the replacement, and don't want to end up with 2 cars simultaneously.

Might have been worth checking BEFORE you bought the car whether it was a good price, rather than after

I'm not sure if it helps but I've just bought my first Skoda which is a 55 plate Superb Elegance Edition 100 with a 1.9TDi engine and manual gearbox.

It has done 120k miles with a full service history and a file of receipts which lay out how the car has been looked after, very well in this case. I know nothing about the range or what the Edition 100 is but it's a comfy car for a long commute (110 miles each way, every day).

I paid £2175 with a new MOT, 4 new tyres, a minor service, 3 months warranty and 6 months UK Road Fund License. That was from a Jaguar main dealer in the midlands, i.e. not the auctions.

Nice deal, lucky you - best spec Superb with the best engine and gearbox.

Now just make sure you read up on the water ingress because sooner or later they all do it... best to check and fix now! :)
