Mil-calm down-just ignore it all, jon-stop winding him up.

Miss Piggy has spoken lads!!

I never said anything about murdering a Z4 or a f*ckin' 645 on a straight

Erm.....

..... on to the straight I floor it and take off, leaving the guy behind me again

no offense mil but i'm not saying you didn't drive faster round a corner than the other person, that i'm sure of.

but what people are getting at mate is that a Z4 is a very capable car both on track and the highway. they are real sports cars made for real driving, if the driver had the confidence and knowledge that you had i'm pretty sure he could have driven faster.

and with this post i am not dissagreeing or calling you a liar, just saying things may have been different if you swapped cars :)

oh, can i remind you of this?

Wow...I just re-read everything and realized I get agitated easily for no reason...Bengie' date=' and everyone in here, I love you all.

My car still handles better though [/quote']

Erm.....

Dr., when you hit the straight and fllor it before the other guy does, do you not leave the guy behind you. Did I say anything about 'kickin' his a$$' on the straight? No, this whole topic was about twists.

You analyse my sentences but you can't figure out the point.

Poem?

Mil, don't take it personally.. I understand you're an emotional type of character and that's fine. There are a lot of people on this forum who are almost too analytic with every aspect of detail and don't take stories like that for granted, they like to analyze and discuss numbers until there is nothing to discuss about..

I agree with you that the skill of a driver and cars weight/handling will make a great difference on twisty road. A volvo 2.5T tried to shake me on a twisty road when we were both doing 80km/h.. guess what, he couldn't.. imagine a 190bhp turbo petrol vs. 1.4tdi diesel (running powerbox).. my car was a lot lighter and his car was apparently with only standard suspension.. I also knew the road well enough to cut corners at right places.. had a laugh watching his car wallow at the bends with all that power but no ability to swing into the corners properly.. when we got to the main road he accelerated fast and I didn't even try to catch him as I knew I couldn't catch him, he was clearly ****ed :D

Another story, a guy in a old '90 civic came behind me on a twisty road I didn't know properly, well it took me some time to shake this guy until I got the right pace.. his car was very low so it had good cornering ability vs. mine (only stock sport suspension so riding pretty high).. I could shake the guy when the road got less twisty but he gained me on twisties again (showing that he clearly had less power).. anyway when I got to a few bends I knew well enough there was really no competition and I could then control the pace by shaking the guy and let him gain me again.. point being he knew how to drive the car and knew the road so although I had the power advantage I could not shake him at first..

Anyway the cars you mentioned are real drivers cars and should corner far better than a fwd car if the driver knew how to drive it.. so, well, clearly you were just the better driver in those situations..

I see what you're trying to say bengie, and thanks for that, but today that quote does not apply. I know what the Z is capable of, I've read plenty of reviews on it to know, and I know I have no chance of takin' it on a straight in ANY way.

Tavia insulted me, something that did not need to be done. I don't think I've ever done that to him.

Anyway the cars you mentioned are real drivers cars and should corner far better than a fwd car if the driver knew how to drive it.. so, well clearly you were just the better driver in those situations..

Or that the driver of the other car was going about his business and not trying to race anyone else.

take jon with a pinch of salt mate, he knows what he's talking about but is also a wee wee taking person too

Or that the driver of the other car was going about his business and not trying to race anyone else.

Yeah, well that depends, if you glue to someones *ss .. I don't think it's just normal everyday driving..

[quote name=Mil...I know I took this dude by surprise' date=' because half way on the straight (slowed down by then) he came up my @$$ again...and this time he was stickin'...so up the next loop I floor it again and he disappears again! [/quote]

Shortened to make my point

Please see Mil's quote where he clearly says he took the guy by suprise. He also says how funny the whole thing was. From what I can see, he made no claim that his car was any faster than a Z4, just the amusement from taking the guy by suprise and keep pulling away from him. Why is this so unbelievable. He never said the guy was trying.

And yet again a track was mentioned, why? was mil on a track? no, he wasn't.

Mil, if you feel that I have insulted you, that was not my intention. Please accept my apologies.

Dude, thanks. But if they wanna analyse, check this. I'm running 15s, with low profile tyres. My car is very low because of it. The wheels I have with the tyres I have are smaller than the 16s with 205/45s. That makes it quite low. PLUS 40mm drop, PLUS rear spacers, PLUS strut bar.

Thanks for trying to cheer me up, but staff member Tavia however is still behaving like an upright dickwad.

I never thought once I would get extremely upset on this site.

Thanks again.

Evenin' Dave :wavey:

As for the track part, erm, Mil brought it up :D

You know what? That's it. I've had it with you guys. You see me sittin' here PRAISIN' all of you with your bloody diesels callin' success over Beemers and the like' date=' congratulating you and all, but EVERY F***ING TIME a topic comes up with me and my ride, you all put me down.

It's not a petrol thing MIL, you drive a Furby so you are not allowed to go fast and have fun then post about it ..... well not without a little ridicule. Only the "mighty" octy can do that without being ridiculed / iresponsible etc etc. It's just the Briskoda class thing at work :D:D

but staff member Tavia however is still behaving like an upright dickwad.

Please see the post above yours.

You read and ask everyone else to read your first post to me in this thread. I don't feel it, I know it, and you know it too.

Apology accepted, but it'll take me quite a while to forget it. I've taken quite a load from most of you about my car since I joined.

:orb_cool: Hi Jon.

When I first found this forum I was completely amazed by how polite and helpful people were to each other. It's also incredibly open, anti-clique and non-political. And that's why I started using it.

But this thread is like something you'd find on one of the 'other' forums. It's a ****ing shame.

Let alone have fast fun in a 1.2 furby! :D

Or an SDI :D

jeeeesus effing christ, what is going on here? if mil wants to share an experience with us he has every right to do so as this is (correct me if i'm wrong) a forum. he should also be free to do it without being ripped to shreds. we all have 'nailed this beemer tw4t t'other day' stories (myself included) many of which people may be sceptical about, bottom line is we were'nt there as an independent witness nor can we read the mind of the other driver so its impossible to pass accurate judgement. so there.

as has been mentioned before staff members should probably set a better example and if that statement results in ridicule then so be it, my shoulders are broader than most. not only that but i can take the mick out of myself far better than anyone else!!

peace brothers. :)

:iagree:

this is a public forum, and everybody should be entitled to express there opinion...but it does seem that if you disagree with this lad, he gets a bit too stroppy a bit too quickly
