Just a quick hello,

 

I picked up my new Corrida Red VRS TDi Estate on Saturday after trading up to a bigger car from my VW Scirocco. Having read of others long waits for this particular model I count myself lucky as I chanced upon an unregistered car at my local Skoda dealership after the original buyer had pulled out of the deal the week before. After a test drive in a demonstrator that they had on their forecourt the deal was quickly done and a week later it was on my drive!

 

I am thoroughly enjoying the additional 44 horsepower that the car has over my old VW and the DSG box has made my daily 40 mile commute that much more enjoyable. Think I have just about figured out all of the new toys although I am not too keen on the lane assist so have disengaged this for the time being but can see the potential benefit on a long motorway drive.

 

Look forward to posting updates on my 1st experiences with the Skoda brand.
