Anyone recommended a "New Car Detail" + protection around Bath/Bristol?

Featured Replies

I've seen lifeshine kits around and about, but don't feel that they will do the best job protection wise (either by the product or dealer) - but that is another story.

At my current property I have no garage, just a private drive, so the car will be out, and whilst I love detailing my retro stuff, this car needs to be as low maintenance as possible as it'll be a daily yoke.

So can anyone recommend someone around the South West (south of Bath ideally) able to carry out a preparation that will last a couple of years, only requiring the usual wash and brush up?

(I know there are hundreds of threads about which new car detail technique etc..) and I'm between doing it myself when I get the time (and the drive is re-laid) and having it ready day 1!

If the consensus is DIY, then which of the alternatives to LS would people recommend?

Cannot you just give it a "Bath"

Sorry couldn't resist

What's a `daily yoke`?

"yoke is a wooden beam normally used between a pair of oxen or other animals to enable them to pull together on a load when working in pairs.." Other animals that may be yoked include horsesmulesdonkeys and water buffalo."

..Also Yoke (in aircraft), the "wheel" that controls the ailerons and elevator on aircraft.

Mates use the phrase all the time, guess the VRS will be the daily workhorse you fly around in?!

I'd recommend any of the 'coatings' for long term durability & ease of washing - g-Techniq, nano lex, cquartz etc. feel free to drop me a pm as I'm not far from you ;)

Chris at summit detailing is your man for that area ;)

Though i have noticed he is already commenting on the thread :)
