Featured Replies

Hello Everyone :)

I recently bought my first Skoda Fabia Vrs from Fife in scottland.

The person who i bought it of seems to think that the car has been remapped and had work done to it but there is no receipts for this :(

i noticed that the car had "www.briskoda.net" above the headlight so i thought id check this place out and you seem like a real close community

i was wondering if you can help me find the member or getting him to contact me so i can find out if it has been remapped or anything

Its old Reg was "FE06" and i think the ending letters are something along the lines of "WVS" but im not to sure anymore

Any help would be great and thank you for reading :)

(the alloys are audi allows which a painted myself and bought skoda gell badges for)

Definitely modified, its got a front mount intercooler also by the looks of things. I've never saw it before though :)

Pretty sure there is no front mount in there ell, looks like the aircon radiator to me.

Never seen it on here though in my 2 years.

From what i can work out it had an intercooler on it but it was taken off and left with a gaping hole.

i just thought someone modified it to make it look better but when someone pointed out that it was an intercooler i realized that this is what most people do to the Vrs, making me wonder what else has been done to the car.

Plus i would like to know why the traction controll knocks its self of after 15 minutes of driving the car

I see that you are also from cumbria, are there many people that have Vrs?

Isn't the traction control turning off down to snapped alternator load sensing wire?

im unsure because it works fine when i start the car then goes of 15 minutes later, if i turn the car off and on again it allows me another 15 minutes of traction  :wall:

Yer pretty common problem by the looks.

im going to check it out now to see if it is that :)

Are you sure it's not 10 minutes?

Time it.

Almost certainly is the broken alternator wire.

It's happening to more or less all of the mark ones sooner or later.

Design fault but very easy to fix for not much dough.

Also do you know the size of the gap on the front, i went through your progress thread and seen that you had done the same and put mesh there.

Can't remember I'm sorry mate.

When I used to go down to my gran's in workington I saw an awful lot of vrs's. Alot more than i ever see up here on the west coast of Scotland.

also agree with this, doesn't look like a front mount to me.
