Skoda Fabia 1.4TDI

I've got a 1.4TDi, 2006 80bhp model.

Done 18000 miles in 8 years, pulls 1000rpm in any gear, will go up railway bridge at 1000 in 5th. Yet will go to 4200rpm cut out easily.

Great majority is town use, getting 42 average over the 18000 miles.

In the last few weeks have got some rattles.

Last MoT threw up advisory over rear wishbone bushes.

Does 90mph easily (have to keep checking speedo, otherwise my licence at risk) on the rare occasions have been on motorway. No excessive noise from engine, wind or road.

Getting to places under bonnet and facia a struggle like anything these days.
