Could be the Clutch in the A/C Compressor over heating and cutting out? just a stab in the dark

Possibly, Pasty did indicate it could have a fault.  Think we need to try the other compressor.

My aircon doesn't work, so will it show up with vag com?

It should show up if there are any faults.

Might be worth getting the gas checked too.

It was a new one.

Not that it 100% means it's a good one, but it cleared the previous fault.

I had it re gassed in August with the uv dye etc to check for leaks, so shouldn't need more gas

Probably need to run a VCDS scan then.

The bonnet, bumper and headlights were, that's a 56 plate Cat D.

Cliff's was an 04 plate Cat C, turned out to be uneconomical to repair due to the kink in the A post.

The Pasty wagon lives on in a few parts at least.   Looks very tidy. GLWTS

6 other Fabia VRS's that I am aware of. :D

Good luck with the sale Richard

  • 2 weeks later...

Feck me, they're like buses, you wait all this time for a Fantasy Green Fabia and 2 come along at once.

Not bad going Richard seeing as there were only 3 produced in the first place  ;)

Boot swap was rather successful, good colour match too! (always a plus)

:) good job!

How cruel Lee! :D

It was too easy Wardy, just too easy  :D  Honestly though, well done Richard for keeping it/them going, much better than the car park in the sky

Good work Taylor, head down the A12 for a bit, there's some PDI's I think need doing  ;)

Hehe, there's actually a fabia near where I live in exactly this colour!

Colour match on the replacement tailgate.

One of the benefits of buying a whole car for it's tailgate with paint pre-faded to match. :)

Even managed to get the L plate glue off with a razor blade after no tar/glue remover would touch it.

SO glad it's not a new car, taking a razor blade to the paint! :D

Also managed to salvage the 16V badge.

Broke off the old MPI one, leaving glue/foam residue.

Levered the 16V one off with some glue residue on it still in places.

Something sticky X 2 = badge back on and stuck fast.

Another job from the list done.

Big thanks to Taylor for assisting doing 75% of the work as I got a bit busy.

Well with panels as big as they are id be amazed if anyone can do it by themselves lol :P

Glad its turned out well, good job with the 16V badge, the MPI one was really brittle!

Hows the heated rear windscreen switch? Nice and square now? :D

Yes, the switch that doesn't do anything is square.

My OCD is happy. :D

Suspected pump problem.

When you rev the titties off it you do get a bit of cooling inside.
