That's a bit much.

It might be a bit cheap in places... but the Fabia isn't exactly a Bently.

Was aiming more at the dash and centre console - perhaps vag could do an interior for ford, and ford and engine and chassis for vag.

probably got the odd switch or a fuse here and there from a Bentley in it somewhere though

Problem is I've accidentally stumbled across the Fiesta ST, which is probably the best handling front wheel drive hot hatch from the factory.

And it's already got over 200bhp.

And a warranty.

And I haven't had to throw £5,000+ at it in mods, which I've instantly lost.

Well I may have been a little bored this evening and thanks to leenel88 and his Fabia wrc images I've made this! (FGF WRC)

Got speaking to a guy last week that said he can clean practically any stain on a car interior.

Got me thinking.

 

So with 100,000 miles on it, a grubby driver seat, a big black stain on the passenger seat and an overall damp musty smell I got him to work his magic today.

 

Very impressed with the result.

 

 

 

I was going to put the Mystic Beige interior in due to the state of this one, plus it smelled a bit after being parked in the salvage yard for 6+ months and was a bit musty.

 

Not sure it's worth the hassle now as it's like a one year old car and smells nice too. :clap:

He's done the boot, headlining, all seats and the carpet.  Plus a general clean in there.

Cost me £40, which I was very happy with.

Looks like the air-con compressor on the Fabia is goosed, has been since before I got it.

 

About to fit the one from the Pastywagon and hope it's OK as it's a lot cheaper than buying one...

Laying on the floor they look identical.

Started on the button and drives too.

Damage looks cosmetic to all the front panels.

Structurally it looks sound.

Swapping all the good bits to the original one?

Not far out.

 

Insurance payout was £1,050 and I paid £125.

 

Had a few auction fees and recovery because I couldn't be bothered to go and get it, but still well worth it for the tailgate and rear bumper in the correct colour.

Bonus it runs and drives.

 

Half tempted to just put some red VRS front panels on it and get it through the VIC test so it can go back on the road, although I then remember selling cars is a complete PITA!

So I'd only do that if it's going to be the basis for a project.

Indeed, if you were daft enough to then fit a WRC kit you could argue the colours are of no concern.

Quite right! I can't remember is it another 1.4 Comfort that is identical?
