Richard's mk1 Fabia thread. (Yes, I have a mk1 Fabia problem...)

Could you not just put the polo engine and gubbins in a Fabia and keep it vaguely stock?

Yes, but then I'll have two 1.8t Fabias... amongst other things...

It's getting a bit out of control!

It gets rid of another car and it's better than a 16v

Its got a little bit past 'getting a bit out of control'. I'd go so far as to say its even past 'completely out of control' perhaps in to 'out of control for the foreseeable future'.

An estate and a hatch with 1.8t - one mental and one factory :)

Unit 18 style

Once Richard has a dozen identical Fabia's I think he should hire them out to us, we can then all attend How Fast in identical cars and see who can drive.

A Brisky member in a reasonably priced car. WDYT?

So logically we need 8-10 Fabia 1.4 16v Comfort spec cars? :)

Nope 1.8t Comfort spec ones instead.

Better drivers don't need lots of power to make up for mistakes.

A fleet of Citigos would be best to see who can drive well! :D

I've not got much power in my current car actually ;D

Hang on a minute, they'd take 3 years to complete ;)

Briskoda in a Not So reasonably priced, but very fast Fabia?

As i said when we were at Bedford, we should all go to Enterprise and hire a small city car of the same spec and go and have some fun.

Once your fleet of Fabia's reaches 10 (I am sure it will at some point) we can avoid the Enterprise bit and just hire from you and have some fun at Bedford.

Use the 1.4 MPIs to handicap the better drivers? Sounds like a plan :P

Got me thinking now...

Fabia 1.4 16V = 100bhp + oil cooler + decent discs and pads = job done. :)

I expect you could do that for around £1k per car.

Not being highly tuned they wouldn't need excessive/expensive upgrades.

You'd be looking at the bottom end of the market, aiming to pick them up for around £750 tops.

Or raid Copart frequently. :)

Repair your spares car and that's another one too!

I'm sure we can organise a Brisky raid,

I swear I've said to do this before (albeit with the 8v). While they dont have the same power as the vRS I bet thr weight distribution is alot better and will handle better on track. No vast diesel lump up front ;)

As a lone car on a public track day I think they'd be a outgunned and you'd spend all day pulling over to let others pass.

As a group booking of similar cars though... :)

Take one to Brands them :D

I did that all the time at Combe anyway in my Fabia :D

I think this is a great idea.

Liam, look out son as your Lupo is a 1.4 and it has 16 valves......    The Fabia 2 is also 1.4 16 valve... maybe not.

And he has recently replaced the brakes too, so what are you lot using?

Is it 100bhp the 1.4 16v?

Is it 100bhp the 1.4 16v?

no, it is the 75bhp version (or at least it was when it was new) only difference is cams I believe, this also makes the 100bhp version a screamer, everything is top end.

Hmm I reckon we need to get a 100bhp or less Briskoda racing series going, it'd be a good laugh.
