So I've brought some 312mm brakes for the car, as the disc for the r32 ones you need a bank loan lol and didn't want to go for after market disc. I'm just trying to get them cleaned up and ready for paint.

The boot install in nearly finished now after a few months doing it. I don't have to time now to do anything on the car with the new job roll.

Hopefully I will get some pictures up of everything when it's done.

So went over to the shark performance open day to get the car on the rollers as it was rolling road there last year and wanted to use the same rollers.

The car made 216.2bhp and 301nm-220ft/lbs really happy with the result I was speaking to Ben and he said that's about the maximum out of a tuning box.

Here's the graph

Cheers Richard the car goes like stink. Also it was done 5th gear, I know sometimes it's either 4th or 5th when on the rollers.

excellent Ant! good figures :)

Cheers the next thing would be a remap but I don't know if it's worth it for another 10-15bhp more. The car drives fine now

I know this isn't my thread sorry, I have this mount. Really sharpens up gear changes that's in a manual too so can't imagine how good it is in a DSG car. Slight vibration in a diesel on idle but hardly anything no rattles.

Rarely use my car anymore, more now we've just had a little girl. Girlfriend didn't like my car, seats too hard and suspension too harsh her words not mine, I love driving it.

What's the ride like on air ? Stupid question really but only experience with air is in Mercedes where there is different setting like comfort and sport and then the extreme AMG's where it goes to sport+

that's a shame about the car Richard I find the seats comfy and the standard ok too for the short it was lol.

Everybody that goes in the car are really impressed with how it rides and handles on the road.

Should be ok after she gets better, she didn't mind it before she was pregnant so it's a win win for me :) get to keep my mileage down too by using her car.

Love to have air installed just can't see me spending that much money, really fancy a octavia vRS too.

it's lot of money but I love having it. I really like the new octavia vrs but I don't think it's a 20k car.. with that money I would have a 56 plate rs4 ;)

Just the running costs of a rs4 are probably crazy, brakes are probably mental price and sure if the suspension has a problem it's £££. But I agree can't justify spending that much on new octavia.

So I've brought a w8 interior light got it of the eBay and it came with the wire and already painted black.

All fitted took about 10 minutes to do it but you can't have the sunglasses holder in as the arm hits the light unit inside the headlining.

All I need now is to order some new leds so it's a bit brighter

So is that a black housing as the panel where the glasses holder would be is looking grey on that picture

Kind of gutted as I chucked the blanking panel when I fitted the sunglasses holder

Would you say the glasses panel fitted but can't be used or will not fit full stop if so I'll have to source a panel as well

that's because of the camera with the light on. With the w8 light in you can not have the sunglasses holder in as the return arm hits the wiring/plug when closing it. Trust me I tried several times.
