yep I love it. The mk1 couldn't get the power down. I raced a red mk1 fabia vrs with 240bhp, 340 l/ft and pulled away from him. The 1.4 tsi is a brilliant little motor.

What sort of times were you getting?

My mk1 was only a little over those figures and ran consistant 13.6/7 once I worked out how to launch it properly.

The mk1 with all it's torque isn't the easiest car to drag race, compared to the mk2 where you just floor it.

Good call on the Pancake tank.

That's what I run in the Roomster and the boot floor is only an inch or so higher than stock with everything located in the spare wheel well. :)

Did you get the performance struts etc.. ?

I was getting a 14.4 to 14.7 at santa pod loved it never done it before. I wish I went for it first and saved myself £200 doing the new install. My original install was about 3 inches higher and as a daily the car seat would fill the boot. I'm hoping on that too only about a inch higher and no only got the xl slams on the front. Was asking ocd about the performance ones but I've already got the farb on and fasten to the wishbones.

it's amazing the car pulls so much better with it. I've had one fault code come up but then when I first started it and booted it down the road. But since then nothing I would highly recommend one. I want to get on the rollers soon to see what bhp it's putting out.

yeah that's the one pal. I think they was about £100 from them

Its a nice looking car but why do you not replace the number plate up front?  Surely you could have black lettering stuck on the front bumper, like old British classics have.

I understand you may like the cleanliness but a plate in the windscreen screams out that you want to avoid cameras, etc.(Big spate of cars having numberplate accidentally fall off in London, with the replacement in the windscreen... Real reason? To avoid congestion charge and average speed cameras).

Or even better (as painted on lettering will likely be expensive + IMO looks butt ugly) get this http://www.amazon.com/Show-Go-License-Plate-Holder/dp/B001E4E0ZW friend has one and it's really discreet and holds up strong  I plan on getting one in the future (but not that specific one.. you can get them a lot cheaper)

I've seen a few people that have do that but personally I don't like it. The plate is now back on the bumper but on double sided suckers which cost me about £3 from ebay.

I looked into them but ended up with the double sided suckers for about £3 from ebay. No marks on the paint plus I've done about 130mph with it on and it dint move :)
