Coilovers are on!

Featured Replies

Not so much as a project but seemed the best place to post it.

Fitted some cheap coil overs to the vrs this weekend. Think they give the car a much better stance and it handles miles better, only down side is that the ride is much more harsh.

Heres a couple of pics:

Looks great!

Not a huge fan of the black bonnet as i think the Blue is lush!

Are those the factory fitted wheels?

must have been taken somewhere in the new forest one of those pics with the old horses in the background.

Yep standard wheels, kerbed them quite a bit already though :(

And correct! The sunny new forest :)

What coilovers did you go for?

Just a cheapo 'FK AK Street' set.

By no means the best but perfect for what I wanted it for.

Cheap coil overs are grate for normal use if u don't mind replacing them every two years or so. One thing i would say is they eat anti roll bar links keep spares in my boot lol.

Yeah I only plan to keep the car another 18 months or so :)

Thanks for the tip, I'll keep an eye on them!

I was going to rename the topic but I can't find how to do it. So this post isn't related to coil overs, didn't feel it needed another new topic though.

I wrapped the door handles today with some leftover wrap that I used on my bonnet.

I like it :)

Makes it stand out and look a bit different from others, which I like.

Do you get any rub on full lock or any problems like that?

Nope, not at all :)
