A few detailers i surveyed mentioned Fusso Coat wax as great value for money!!! 

Yesterday's delivery.....some top quality wax applicators, edgeless microfibres, and the AF goodies!

Since ordering most of my last items for test/review.... i have just been too busy.

 

I am looking forward to arranging a detailing weekend with my R36 twin sometime soon...  :sun:   

Well - after a couple of weekends gone by working on other peoples cars; i finally got around to tackling the .:R36 today.  :sun: 

 

Thought i would make an effort seeing as we have the Briskoda Meet in a couple of weeks;

i'm pretty busy the next couple of weeks really.... so today was it! Time to tidy up the beast   

 

Car was vac'd inside and i gave the interior a wipedown with AF Total Interior, another recent purchase.

 

Snowfoamed with ValetPRO ph neutral & rinsed; then wash bucket prep'd with Megs Gold Class Shampoo.

 

Standard 2BM wash with noodle wash mitt; then de-tar and decontaminate prior to testing out AF Illusion.

 

Car dried with new Woolly Mammoth & blow drier for remaining nooks and crannies.

 

 

By this point, it was getting quite hot - and the rain they forecast hadn't turned up.

So i checked panel temps with my non-contact digital thermometer.... 22-23degC;

not ideal but i wanted to try out the Illusion wax. Humidity was about 50% on the meter.

 

I was using my new HQ red wax applicators, and CarPro BOA MF towels to buff off.... only the best for this job!

 

Anyway - pics below of the end results. The metallic flake and pop was there in abundance.

Plus the gloss levels and slickness were absolutely awesome. Some great relections on the dark paint too.

 

I must admit - it certainly does what it says on the time - very impressive indeed and worth the spend.

The feel of the wax is very very similar to Victoria's Red Concours wax...... but less oily i would say.

 

To finished - the exhausts were polished and sealed using the Britemax Metal Twins and drill cone.

The alloys were given wipedown with Sonax BSD, as were the door shuts and boot area.

Tyres were wiped with Autosmart Highstyle...... then interior cranberry blast added. Job done   

 

Looks good...Nice flake pop

As stated at the outset - this thread is about a pure show wax giving best BLING.  :sun:

Flake pop, gloss, slickness, reflection and the likes... with a level of sacrifice on durability.

 

Durability and long term protection was not within the remit.

The wheel cleaner is pretty good and doesn't smell like it is an acidic based one.

 

I am currently all about the wheel cleaners!

Some nice reflections and a good deep rich gloss on the paint...

Had a quick test panel polished and waxed last night with Definitive Wax Show Edition.

Not enough time before the game to do much more..... but all i can say is i'm very happy. 

 

Goes on so thin and hardly used any product on the 2 coats applied; buffed off well with the BOA MF.
