So for a reversing camera you would need to install this and an aftermarket camera and then you could have a reverse camera with the guide lines like you can spec on an A3 or Golf?

Must admit that's kind of tempting, but not sure whether that's something I would attempt to install myself :(

With rear parking sensors is there any point though?

Dunno, not had any issues with the sensors yet, they have been pretty reliable so far, would be nice to see though. Starting to get used to driving an estate car now after switching from a tiny car :)

It's now a factory option. I'm likely going to retro fit.

So far Advanced In-Car have tentatively quoted £850 - once I have a VIN they'll be able to get an accurate cost.

Anyone else recommend a VAG specialist in the South West?

You need to spec Amundsen or Columbus for the factory fit camera. Would a Bolero take a retrofit? Or does it lack Video-In?

The German link above suggests either Sat Nav or Bolero is good for retrofit.

Can't you get it added to your order or have you been allocated a build week?

I added it to my order a couple of weeks ago and it was confirmed that it would have no effect on the build week (which I am still waiting for).

Shame as it is a fair bit cheaper from the factory ...

Tell me about it! Oh well. It is what it is. I still hoping to get that tentative figure much closer to £600. TBH, I'd be happy to fit it myself, it's pretty simple and I have a VCDS friend.

It is the wiring that will be a pain - removing all of the trim to run it from the trunk lid through to the dash.

Yea, it's just time though, not difficult. I'm a geek so should be fine and likely save a couple of hundred in labour.

Agreed, but getting the trim back on to the factory standard can be a pain, especially with the trunk lid trim. Buy some spare trim clips :)

Is there anybody who is willing to do this and post it here explained with the VCDS coding and the exact rear view camera used? I am keen on the idea and I've been following the thread since it started...I'm just not sure how to do it

There is a shop on E##y that sell camera kits for VW's, not sure if these models would be compatible with the Skoda units or if these are for the older VW ones.

Fit vehicles equipped with head unit VW RNS 510 RNS 315 RCD 510 (with 26pin connector).

Would be much better if Skoda did the emblem camera like on the Golf GTi's but these are a lot more expensive.
