Skoda Fabia vRS SE - Low Mileage - Recent Price Drop to

Featured Replies

Now selling my VRS, please see the pistonheads advert for more details.

Main points are as follows:

Low Mileage - 45,560 (not currently using the car)
MOT and Major service was done at the end of feb, including brake service
Cambelt and waterpump change at 43670 miles
4 Michelin Pilot Sports fitted in feb this year
Car is completely original, has not been molested at all so is perfect if you had your own ideas on how to upgrade it.
I am only selling as I am doing my Motorbike test at the end of June and I want to get a bike.

Currently asking £6995 although I am open to (sensible) offers.

PM me if you have any questions!

That's a lovely looking motor .

Best of luck with a quick sale.

.........and seriously needs keeping that way too imo.

Unmolested vRS's are starting to become a rare bird now sadly.

Each to their own btw.  :notme:

I agree. Looks like a lovely example, and with low mileage is a bit of a modern-classic!

Well, except for the removal of the side rubbing strips, which look cack and which no self-respecting car in the 21st century should have. I've lopped mine off, which improves the look of the car a zillion-fold. Does that count as unmolested though, taking something off?!? I guess it does.

Oh, and to the OP, GLWTS.

Thank you for all the comments guys.

If I was going to hang onto the car then I would have caught the upgrade bug.

I did have plans to upgrade the brakes but I had problems with the calipers I purchased so I ended up putting them back on ebay.

I still have £40 worth of unsued Motul 660 Racing Brake Fluid and 4x 8mm H&R Wheel spacers in my garage as well.

How many services has the car had mate?

Also how much tax is remaining?

Thanks

Lewis

Hi Lewis,

It is currently taxed until 28/02/2015.

Service history is as follows:

30/05/2008 - 7029 miles
05/06/2009 - 14180 miles - Brake fluid change as well
11/06/2011 - 26004 miles
31/05/2012 - 31289 miles
20/03/2013 - 34936 miles - When I purchased the car
28/02/2014 - 43024 miles - Brake fluid change as well

Hope this helps,

Simon

Hmm I don't seem to be getting much interest at the moment.

If you guys think the price is too steep then don't be afraid to make me an offer...

its a fair price but limited market, to most people a 7 year old skoda will never be worth 7k.

you just need an enthusiast to appreciate it but i think you will sell it for 6k plus

Agree with that ,you need to head south with your price, me thinks.

Thank you for the advice.

Luckily i'm in a position where I'm not in a particular hurry to sell so I will stick with the asking price at the moment and maybe bring it down in a couple of weeks if I have had no joy.

If you find the right buyer, they command a high premium over the regular VRS.

But obviously if you have no luck reducing the price attracts more buyers.

That's about dealer price so I'd assume it's immaculate inside and out, with no marks, dings and dents etc...?

Also as a private sale the buyer isn't protected if the car has/develops faults which they are with a dealer.

Good luck on finding a buyer looking for a nice, low milage VRS SE.

If the right one comes up I'm sure you'll get between £6k-£7k.

I did pay less for mine from a Skoda dealer 4 months ago with 50k miles and one owner.

Who knows, they may have gone up a bit :)

7k is a bit steep as you can get the mk2 vRS for less then 7k with the same mileage. I bought mine for 9k private with 9250 miles on the clock ;)

Yes... but it's a mk2.

The VRS SE is far more desirable used.

Give it a few more years and the mk1s left in good nick will be worth more than mk2s that are four years newer.

You might want to update the thread title which you can do by selecting Edit for the first post.
