Well looks like you can add another successful, quality restoration to your CV mate. It's like having our very own Briskoda version of Edd China and Mike Brewer! Lol ("Wheeler dealers" for anyone not in the know).

  • Thanks mate. All lacquered!   Really pleased with them for a rattle can job. I don't expect them to last forever / be super durable but they've got to be better than this...     DSCN2074 by dann270

yea cheers bud, hopefully it will work aswell on mine not sure though :D

I'm following too! You don't know how lucky you are to not have a clio with a sunroof as mine has leaked twice in ownership in 2 different places! Finally think Ive got it now though!

As far as I'm aware no 182 or ph2 172 was ever fitted with a sunroof.

I know your pain thou, had the same problem with my 1.2 clio. Real pita!!!!

I know that's why they're lucky it's a nightmare finally sorted mine though

We had two Clio's and both had sunroof problems...Mainly rattles rather than leaks

My 1st none renault sport Clio had the normal sunroof and that rattled. It was replaced under warranty. The 2nd one I opted for the electric one and that was fine. Both RS models had none :)

Haven't really done much for a week as i've just started my new job!

Gave her a nice wash this evening though. I love this time of year when you can wash the car comfortably at 8.30pm :)

I really like this pic too for some reason. Maybe it's the contrast!

Stunner of a car :)

Looking very good. Wheels have transformed the car. A cup spoiler will really set this off now :)

Today I removed the washers from underneath the seats. It's been said many a time that the driving position in the clio sports is ridiculously high. And rather than being in the car, you're on top of it. I never really properly realised this until today.

This was before...

Then started to undo the 13mm bolts underneath the car

Then removed these 15mm vibration mounts!

And back in. It's kind of hard to see on this image but the driverside is done

This is a better comparison picture if you look at the plastic base of the seat! Before

Realised this picture is absolutely completely pointless as obviously it shows nothing due to me holding the camera at any height haha

Got in the car to drive to my sisters and it's made the car feel so much sportier as you're way lower down, felt like when I drove an Audi R8 and felt like I was pretty much sat on the ground. Such a cheap but worthwhile mod :)

Should do both sides, its so satisfying when people get in to your car and they sit with an 'ugh' as the seat is much lower than they expect :)

Forgot to say, I did both sides :P

Hey man, sadly not for the time being!

I'm working full time now with my graduate job so haven't really had time to do stuff, and don't get paid until the end of the month.

However I am going up to Durham on Monday to get my dephaser and timing belt done as the dephaser is making an awful sound. Got such a bargain though so i'm really happy about that. £475 all in for the dephaser, both belts and oil and filter change.
