I'm not sure about the white paint on the B and C pilars on the white black model either but each to his own.

Its protective tape, they'll be regular black ones underneath....shame as they scratch to buggery after the 1st wash anyway!

Thanks mate. I think White looks better too. It gives that little edge of the contrast. Which one did you go for?

I ordered on the 15th too however it was already on the boat to the UK and the car was untagged, so the dealer tagged it for me. It was at lorry awaiting status on monday, loaded on lorry on tuesday and landed at the dealer's on wednesday.

Hope it helps.

Sorry messed up trying to post from my phone.  I have gone for the black one, I have just found out mine is still waiting at dock in Germany -  gutted. I need it to go on holiday on the 7th August, that is looking unlikely at this rate!  They tagged it for me on the 15th so I don't know why it hasn't got onto a boat yet.

Thats a long time for it not to get on the boat. It never takes this long at Germany port. Dealers do lie just to get a number on sales board. Never mind you still have enough time before your holiday.

I'm in the process of ordering a new company car, would love this limited black edition to be available on the 4x4. Instead I've gone for this:

Skoda Octavia Estate Elegance 2.0 TDI CR 150 PS 4x4 DPF

Colour: Pacific Blue, Black interior

Extra Equipment:

Sunset glass from B pillar

Temporary space save spare wheel

Sport style package - Black

'Mitsumi' Apple device connection

Electrically operated boot door

Sounds nice. Good enough power with a blend of economy. Now the wait begins..

I did post this in the other thread but do you have any pics of the front seats? Wanted to see how sporty they are, I am quite tempted with one of these, a nice lower company car tax alternative to a VRS...

I have replied to your comment on the other thread.

Front seats aren't sporty at all. This limited edition is based on SE so its pretty basic when it comes to the seats however, it makes up with it exterior looks.

Unlikely but perhaps it is a precursor to an official SUK Octavia Sport or Sports Pack for the SE/Elegance.

TBF taking this as a starting point, add a couple of choice toys, ESC sport with XDS+, sports suspension, full black pack, visible twin exhaust, sports seats, supersport wheel and a choice of 1.8 TSi and 2.0 TDi 150 engines be a nice alternative to a vRS.

Chance would be a fine thing!

+1 on that however till the rime that happens I think this is a great alternative.

Car looks great by the way Saurabh, bodykit does look good and white sets off the black wheels spot on. Congrats! Do you prefer the 1.6 TDi to the 1.2 or is it too early to tell? Id imagine its probably not quite so sprightly under hard driving but will perform better loaded up.

I am loving this engine. It feels powerful some how. Don't get me wrong 1.2 TSI is a brilliant engine however we made a trip to Lulworth Cove lately and the car struggled with 4 adults on board and empty boot.

1.6 TDI feels more in control and what can I say about the fuel consumption, it returned 70.1 MPG on my way back from the dealer (149 miles and first 149 miles of the car really). I was doing around 55-65 MPH because of the traffic and new engine.

One guy at the services asked me why the hell did I de-badged the VRS logos (VRS owners wouldn't like this though). He was surprised when I told him that its an SE with sports kit.

Glad to hear that. I decided to add black mirrors a day before I was supposed to pick up and I think I did make a fine choice. It justifies the edition bit more.

Dealer had the Black one on display and it did look mean. If I didn't have the black hatch before I would have definitely gone for the black one.

Hope you get yours soon and do share some pictures.

I pick my Octavia estate 2.0 TDI Black Edition next week. Can't wait. The candy white looks great!!!!

Will do, I can't wait

I am sure you will love the power of a 2 liter engine. Goes perfect with the sporty looks of the car.

I will be doing a lot of motorway miles so wanted to get a bit more grunt. Test drove the 2.0 TD and it definitely gave more
