Just watched the review Joe Achillies has posted about his Motech upgrades. He's chuffed with the difference it has made, worth a watch.

Think you will find I put an entry about 5entries  prior to your latest here.

Joe appears to be the well know YouTube salesman vlogger for various BMW dealerships currently Heathrow area I believe. No doubt many freebies supporting his reviews/ publicity .

And I think you'll find, your video was him having the parts fitted, the video I was referring he up loaded three days, reviewing the parts fitted as per below, unless I'm mistaken?

I know who he is, to be fair, if you watch the video, while it's obviously a plug it's more how the changes have improved the car as a whole that I was interested in. I suspect you'd get similar results using H&R springs or Eibach (Motech) springs etc. With all that said though, I know Mike at Motech and he developed the kit, particularly the springs on his own car, so I'd have no issues using his parts/services.

As far as Joe goes, I like his stuff. I enjoy videos of people that use their cars on the road like a normal person, yeah he likes his BMWs and no doubt Berry BMW sort him out but without either of them, the videos of the M2 vs M240i, Manual vs Auto & various others wouldn't be about to watch.

Braver man than I! I went out for a bit yesterday after the worst of it had cleared, nearly got stuck in a car park doing doughnuts!

Yeah, but it's not his own car ,like a lot of the YouTube hero's.

He didn't do it in his latest set of wheels - Golf mk7 Clubsport S

I’d be less likely to do that in someone else’s car to be honest.

They really are pretty good in snow with the correct tyres on and easy on the accelerator.  The gearbox helps greatly.

What an amount of total muppets about on rear wheel drive BMW's without suitable tyres, and heavy foot ware on.

So many of them white cars.  A few Silver as well.....  Some with funny blue yellow squares on them.

But with the dosh spent on it ,really make it better than the M140i ,which in standard form can be had with good discount or maybe a pre-reg demo.

They guy in the beemer seemed to struggle to get the power down exiting bends. I don’t think relying on the auto helps as the second he jumped on the accelerator it will have dropped gears and upset the rear. Probably better to be in manual so you can feed it on. Looked like he was having fun which is the main thing, not sure if it’s you driving??

Quick OT.  Was the JCW a happy relationship?

Hi George,

Yeah the JCW was great! Had it very nearly 3 years and had a lot of fun. Met some great people at meets and shows too which was nice. Just fancied a change and needed to go back to a larger 5-door car really. I’d have another mini again at some point if I can.

It was 100% reliable. The handling wasn’t up to much on track but as a fun road car spot on. Definitely impractical though! Became abit of a grind if we went out in it as a family at the weekend.

Cheers.  & i take that the wee track toy is a keeper.  Looks good.

Not sure if the track toy will be a keeper or not. I have a love-hate relationship with it at the moment. It’s great when it works but being old and French things break with alarming regularity.

Thanks Keith. Took delivery of some Eibach springs today so it won’t stay standard for long haha.
