Hi everyone, I'm new in the forum and I have some problems.. I hope somebody could help me 'cause I'm very worry about my car  .

 

I have a Skoda Rapid Spaceback 1.6 TDI  with manual 5-speed transmission. 

I bought a 12.12 wire (cable) and VAG 12.12.0 VDCS software. The fact is when I plugged it, I did a AutoScan and I could see all features that the program had. 

 

The next day I tried to start the car and suddenly, the car gave me a message, something like "Select gear in the P / N position," as if it were an automatic car. Also, the display in the driver position doesn't show the information about the optimal gear. It's like the car was thinking that it is automatic, instead of manual. And the worst thing is that parking assistant is not working. It's like the module were turn off, when I select the reverse gear the navigator display doesn't show anything.

 

Later I connected the wire between the car and my PC, I press the module button 10-Park/Steer Assist, I make a Test Output and on this way the Navigator screen works like always it used to do: showing an image of the car, the proxime objetives, the sound when something is near...

 

In the program, the module 02-Auto Trans is enabled when it's an error, it should be disabled, obviously because my car is not automatic

 

When I get into the 01-Engine module, there are some different options and some of them and checked. This options are selected:

- Manual Transmission 

- Manual Transmission 5 speeds 

 

Also, I don't have a copy in the Debug Folder because I reinstall the program. 

 

Another important thing is that the wire I have is a pirate Chinese   wire, very similar to the original that www.ross-tech.com (owners of the program VDCs) is selling and works 

only 12.12.0. version. I have to also say that today I bought the original wire, and I hope could to run the latest version of the program. 

 

I write here 'cause I don't have more ideas, is somebody with similar problems??

Assuming that you have now bought a genuine VCDS interface having found that a counterfeit version can introduce problems which weren't there before, download VCDS Release 12.2.2 and post the scan result again. If you can't download that release then the second VCDS interface (original wire) is also counterfeit and you will not get any help on this forum. Ross-Tech provide technical support by email for owners who register their genuine interfaces with them.

Jaja, the Pirate wire is a bad option. With the Pirate wire does not work the VCDS 12.12.2 version. I already bought the genuine wire, bring me in a week. Hi, I just fix the problem. I connected the VAG-COM wire to the car and entered in the module 19-CAN Gateway. This module contains a lisf of enable modules. I disabled the module 02-Auto Trans (Automatic Transmission) and the problem has solved.
