  • Some "real" photos of the estate here: http://www.autohit.cz/novinky/128337-zive-skoda-fabia-combi-pri-prvnich-zivych-jizdach   On the whole I find the Rapid Spaceback prettier, but I suppose some m

  • No Climate control, no Rear electric windows, No heated seats, no DAB radio, no 70+ mpg, no free road tax........   Think I will stick with my 1.4tdi SEL DSG Estate that has just been built thanks.

  • It's a mini Octy but I quite like it!

Really like that!

Looks good, but why do they have to put a stupid slopping rear window on it?
A proper square shape gives much better load capacity and usefulness.

Style, like an Audi Avant can't be called an Estate really as its not really that much bigger than the standard car :)

Looks a bit like a BMW 3 Series Tourer which I managed to get feck all in the back of because of the sloping roofline. In terms of style though, it looks good.

It's a mini Octy but I quite like it!

One reason for the Sloping rear window is, that if upright there would be a Gap between the back and the roof like a Pope Mobile and

and the rain would get it.

But more seriously, they maybe do not want a great long roof, and a Volvo Look alike.

& for a Vertical Rear, & that practical but very Fugly look Skoda do Yeti & Roomsters .

Skoda is not a Volume Seller, and Yeti & Roomster are a couple of the lowest sellers.

Yep I like that too and they've retained the small bonnet large passenger cell proportions of the mk1... Nice

I'm guessing market research says Skoda buyers don't want square estates, and only occasionally load them up.

I'm guessing their research shows most Fabia estates only ever see dogs going to the park?

Hmm if it's good reviews one might end up carrying my tools around in the back :)

If you want a square back, get a VW Caddy, it's all about looks and if it looks like the pictures then they'll be on to a winner.

You don't buy supermini sized estates if you want to carry large loads, that's what the Octy and Superb are for. It'll be ideal for the buggy/dog carrying duties it's been designed for.

It'll be carrying our road and mountain bikes and associated clobber if that's the case [emoji3]

Now we're talking! That looks very nice. First decent mk3 pics I've seen.

need to lower the suspension a tad will look like the 1 series a bit :D

Get my tools in the back and no need to lower :)

I like that alot.

Should have waited :(

I like that quite a lot.

Certainly a better looker than the hatchback, just like in mk2 guise.

Any dates as to when production will start yet?

If they don't make a hot/warm version of this I will be disappointed.

I don't want to have to blow all my savings and buy the new Honda Civic Type R in a couple of years... :giggle:

Looks much better than the Hatch imo.  The design just seems to 'work' in the estate, whereas in the hatch it doesn't really.

Looks nice.

One of the main reasons these days for not having a square rear end is to bring the emissions down due to better aerodynamics.

I was surprised by the seats up boot capacity quoted. 530l IIRC

Engine options a wee bit disappointing though and is there really enough difference between a Fabia and Rapid to warrant two models?

Could be tempted by a DSG TSi/TDi one of these.
