Mk1 Fabia VRS FABOKA working his magic mapping :)

Featured Replies

It's the duration maps. We had the issue with silky's at first. Bigger nozzles mean more flow top end but at the same time less fuel low down. So the injectors need to be open longer to achieve the same injection quantity. And then open less higher up the injection quantity.

  • Good car that.   Other than it's overly agressive smoke machine map for track use. (which personally I don't think does Dirty-Torque's rep much good) Put a diff in it, custom remap so the rest of u

Well so far we are on Tweek Map 3 of ##!!##h map.

Juddering Has Basicly been Eliminated totally so Im over the moon about that.

Still smokes quite a bit but need a good daytime drive to keep an eye on it.

Still goes well and enjoy driving it alot more now that i can just poodle it around without worrying about the judder.

Many more tweeks to do and when Myself & ##!!##h are happy with the logs and how it goes it will be booked back into Hayes Engineering for another rolling road and hopefully see a few more horses and apparently a bit more torque.

Tweek 3, I'm on about 14. :D

I have same low revs light throttle misfire so if James sorts yours hopefully he can sort mine too. :)

yep took a while to get mine sorted out at low revs but got there in the end :)

if i'm right in thinking the DSSR nozzles are very different setting to Firad Nozzles when setting the low revs/load area of the map

Definitely interesting to see what smoke levels will be like running big power.

As I'm currently swaying towards staying with standard nozzles, as I don't want a smokey car, even if it does produce big power...

if you want the high end power 260bhp+ on a stock 1.9pd you will have to have smoke levels that most will not like (obviously at this level you need nozzles)

be interesting to see what power difference you will make between 2.3bar and 2.5bar on stock nozzles (are you trying 2 different maps?)

if i get my 2260 fitted in time i'll be keeping with the stock nozzles at 2.3bar and as much fuel as possible, once i have a bench mark bhp figure (i think there will be 3-4 peeps with 2260 fitted lol) i will refit the DSSR's and see what increase i can get with acceptable smoke levels if there is only 10-15bhp difference i'll refit the stock nozzles and leave it as is

i'm not quite sure how ##!!##h will get more bhp and less smoke when chasing 290bhp on a 2260 on stock 1.9pd will defo be one to watch

My point exactly. I really don't see the point in having injectors if they're only going to provide me with a smokey car.

Yeah I'm running 2.3 and 2.5bar maps and will be running both at the RR day. We're leaving the boost at these levels now. Definitely feels a noticeable increase in power with the extra 0.2bar.

John currently estimates 2.5bar is ~260bhp.

Try and get it finished in time - there'll be a few 2260's there. Southy's, yours and mine. All mapped by John, but I'm on a cast manifold.

Looking forward to a 2015 season of lots of 2260 dyno plots (and other GTBs too) as I have a feeling there's a fair lack of dyno plots to specs out there.  I know for one, even I am lacking in dyno plots and hoping to sort that this year.

I'm tempted to try and chuck my car on the dyno at work on friday or saturday to see what power figures I am running at 1.9bar before we fit the new sensor and then go for 2.5bar. Will also chuck it back on after the boost has been upped to see how much difference .6bar is.

Getting before and after is worth it. :)

I hope to get down to a RR in Plymouth at some point. hopefully in advance of Ultimate Dubs.

On map 4 now, A bit Juddery which I have reported. so Map 5 is being written at the moment.

Before & after is always a eye opener.

When I brought it i had the RR for 277bhp and then I personally Rolling Roaded it in January this  year at Hayes engineering it made 277BHP on the Dirtytorque map.

Once Myself & James @ ##!!##h are happy i will book it back on the rollers.

If it makes the same power but without the juddering & smoke I will be over the moon.

We will See

Watch This space!!!

Will be very interesting that :)

Will deffo make a big difference in on the road performance!

I noticed a huge difference between 2.3 and 2.5, let alone going from 1.9bar!!

So did I! In your car! Noticed a massive difference going from 1.9 to 2.1 bar on the 1756 in mine too!

I upped from 1.85 to 2.2 bar the other night, couldn't believe the difference! Felt an even bigger difference than going from a standard car to stage 1
