parcels arrived

Wohoo finally pulled my finger out and brought some bucket seats. I was worried I wasn't going to be comfy enough but they pleaseantly surprised me and now im glad I done it

 

heres some pictrues. Just got to get the harnesses in now.

 

The pictures make them look like that your tilted a lot further back than it feels but you can tilt them to suit and slide back and forwards.

I like them, but would miss my heated seats :p

I once tried a race saloon with one of those (with driver's agreement) and it was hugely comfy, fitting naturally from mid-thigh up to my shoulders.

The firm who do doing them done me alloys on my old focus st2 gunmetal grey which suits everything but hadnt seen many purple to be honest

Looks alot better in the flesh but here we go. while we are on the subject does anyone know the correct size centre cap for these standard alloys.

Think my calipers need to go black now but im not sure.

and it needs lowering a little more at the back.

Right. harnesses are in however Im not convinced its correct. Where I want to Anchor one of the hooks from each seat I cannot get to. This Is displayed in the first couple of pictures below. Where the two hooks are you cannot physically anchor the hook into the hole due to the angle and size of the hook. these are displayed in the 2 pictures below.

 

I HAVE HAD TO ANCHOR THEM TO THE SAME CORNER ANCHOR POINT  (SEE BELOW PICS)
BUT IT LOOKS SHOCKING AND IM NOT SURE IF ITS OK TO DO THIS CAN ANYONE ADVICE PLEASE.

iF ANYONE CAN HELP OR HAVE PICTURES OF THERE SETUP COULD THEY PLEASE SHARE.

Turns out I need snapHook harnesses with eye bolts. got to send these back :(

Do the bucket seats sit lower than the standard seats??

Harnesses should not really be mounted to those rear seat belt points, the angle is too steep.

A lot of people do this, but I agree.

OP needs to check the design specification of the harnesses and if needed mount a bar higher up.

 

Unless it's all just for show and he drives around with the normal seat belt on.

If im honest no im not using the normal seatbelt they will be removed. Can anyone shed light on what the problem is as it doesn't seem to pull me to an intrusive angle or anything.

new correct snaphook harnesses will be here today.

Some people think the rear anchor points are too low for the shoulder straps on a harness.

So in the event of a serious accident the shoulder straps pull you down compressing your spine.

 

Have a search on google and it brings up lots of stuff.
