Headlight Beam change for Europe on Octy III.

Featured Replies

How do you change over the dip beam for driving on the right for halogen lights (non-Xenon models)?

I used to regularly change my Octy 2 very easily (as per a post on this site) but the Octy 3 (1.6 TDI seems not to use the same bulb/mounting.

Page 130 for starters. I think you have to have Bi-Xenons for this to work though (I may be mistaken on that).

Have a read as there may be a section on Halogens.  Otherwise it's the good old fashioned sticky on the glass.

Ah, this is the bit you won't like to read.....

"The low beam of your headlights is set asymmetrically. It illuminates the side of

the road on which the vehicle is being driven to a greater extent.
When driving in countries in which the traffic drives on the other side of the road
than in your home country, the asymmetrical low beam may dazzle oncoming
drivers. To prevent oncoming  traffic from being dazzled, the headlights must be
adjusted by a ŠKODA Partner."
