Bumper Issue

how do i get my black bumper trim inserts to not be grey?????????????????????????????????

I ran a little heat from a gun over mine. I wasnt too convinced it would work tbh but they came up fine still look good after a few months. I never did get round to the rear one! You could give them a sanding with wet & dry and spray them but they never bothered me that much for that.

Yeah, I've heard the heat gun treatment works well. Might get round to doing it to mine at some point. The other alternative would be to colour code them, I think they look rubbish in black anyway.

on a black vrs so keeping oe got a new front one only 15 from euro

I asked this not long ago in the detailing section. General consensus is a good clean off with IPA and then some Gtechniq C4 see here.

Or yeah just buy some new ones hehe.

I think they're quite expensive so I didnt want to buy any. I already had the heatgun so it was free to me really. I would recommend giving it a go I was impressed.

They're about £28-30 each but the black non painted are impregnated with an oil that will react when painted!

WD40 or Olive Oil works on most black trim that have faded.

Peanut butter, used Diesel engine oil

Pure veggi oil or boiled linseed oil

A car painter friend mixes black paint with a bit of thinners, the thinners melts the plastic a bit (not noticable) and helpd the paint adhere. Worked wonders on mine. Just apply sparingly and go steady.

I used. Plastidip. Worked well.
