Just had a few bits coded by a mate using VCDS, anti hijack, auto unlock and one button unlock. Also went to a little Briskoda meet up at bluewater, was nice to meet a few members and have a chat :)

Last piece of the SMD conversion done after a good tip from Dark Hero. This switch needs 90 degree SMDs but you can mount the normal ones on their side if you've got a steady hand :) Simple idea, not sure why I never even gave it a thought before

Need to update this more often really but a few changes... passenger side cv joint replaced, piper catback exhaust went on & gauge set-up went in although only boost is wired up for now.

CG motorsport 666 clutch kit and single mass flywheel went in last month, bedded in now but seem to be struggling to get it into gear after it's been driven for a while, hoping it's not a gearbox rebuild!

De-wipered as well to make it look a little cleaner on the back as well as new badges went on front & back :)

Then I reversed into someone at about 2 mph in Manchester causing a little bit of damage to my rear bumper but none to her car luckily.

It's not really that bad, just mainly cracked the paint & a couple of little scuffs. Should be getting it sprayed soon and maybe having the front bumoer smoothed at the same time :D

& a random photo from Gravity back in July

Deposit down on Jabba RARB & Darkside hardpipes from Skodalad, should be picking them up in November.

Not sure what intercooler i'll go for yet, tempted by the eBay seat sport style but I'm a little worried about the quality so may end up buying an airtec :)

So managed to get up to see Skodalad last Sunday, picked up the Darkside hardpipes and Jabba RARB, also took a new slam panel, crash bar and front strut brace as well while i was there. Unfortunately I only made it half an hour down the road on my way back before my CV joint went and started pulling me around the road and knocking its arse off!

Six and a half hours later I arrived home.  Had a friend that works at VW change the CV joint for me using a genuine joint this time instead of a cheap one from Euros. The Euros joint only lasted 7 months (11k miles) and had to be cut off as it was completely seized on.

While the car was off the road I ordered an Airtec intercooler and fitted that along with the hardpipes as I've had a hole in my intercooler for some time now. I sprayed the hardpipes matte black as well as the crash bar as they were looking a little old.

Cars running spot on now and I can definitely tell the intercooler is working far better, seems to want to keep pulling now instead of dying off. Jabba RARB, slam panel and strut brace are at the powder coaters now being done gloss black, have a feeling that I might prefer the strut brace in race blue but I'll see how I feel when it all comes back :)

So I haven't updated this in a while now so i'll just post the notable stuff that's happened since haha

Front strut brace, slam panel and Jabbasport RARB are on after being powdercoated gloss black.

Went to a dyno day with some friends and the car rolled quite a high power considering it's a standard turbo. Not sure if that's accurate or not as everyone else that day either performed spot on or low on power?

Had a popcorn limiter added to my Shark map.

Finally got round to sound deadening the front doors.

Had some big issues with my CG Motorsport 666 clutch, lost my rag with it and just ended up ripping it out of the box and going back to standard. Out of warranty so I'm just stuck with it as a paperwight :(

You can see big heat spots and slip marks after only a few months since fitting. I think the actual friction plate is fine but the rest is clearly warped and useless.

New genuine passenger side engine mount fitted.

Picked up 256 and 312 brake set ups from Peter Drury, big thanks to him!

Running DS2500 on Brembo discs as I'm off on a trip to the Alps soon so I need the stopping power. Originally used Brembo pads but they weren't up to scratch when hot :(

Also fitted 42 Draft Designs shifter bushings, very worthwhile mod.

And finally... a mileage update :'(

Great updates.

Still the best looking SE on here by a mile. We need to arrange a blue water meet one evening and get some locals together.

I will be up for that as I live less than 5 mins drive from Bluewater Shopping Centre :)
