Unfortunately won't be able to make it this time around, daughter's birthday party and minor things like going to work :(

Have a good week-end everyone,

Maybe next time (and don't forget to take your digital cameras and post some pics)

Sorry Chaps but I cant make it. Have a good one.!

Regards

Nick

Colin,

what kind of groups were you thinking of splitting the cars into for the drive?

:drive1:

I'm one of those unfortunate weekend workers and also gig most weekends

but wish everybody well for the forthcoming meeting, take care.

regards

bassman.

Nothing to do with the fact that I am about 7,000 miles away and 200miles from land, but I have given this a long and indepth thought, and decided not to come.

I'm going to gut Colin if he keeps rubbing it in. :cussing:

So are we

What the hell didn't notice my name on that topic :p.

Sorry guys can't make it, my sleeping pattern is gone to wack and I'm engaged with other events near me. :(

Sorry guys, can't make the weekend, working I'm afraid.

Sounded good though!

Looks like the drive from the accommodation in Chirk to the start of the drive in ************* is going to be quite big in itself. A good stretch of the ******** needed there.

I think I'd be right in saying the drive from Chirk to the start is part of the route anyway, kind of, because the end will be back around Chirk after the drive? I guess this means we'll have to leave Chirk a bit earlier for an early start time from ********? (Big English for me BTW - if I can keep one down with Jon driving, then I can do it when I'm behind the wheel!)

Jason - I think you should edit the place names out of that last post ...

Jason,

I did it for you, not that anybody is reading these boards...just helps keep the sense of adventure going, oh I did mention it was an adventure didn't I?

Well Brekie is served from 8am. Based on the hotels actual location, traffic, gossip we should be good to arrive at venue for 9:30am latest, set off on at 10am, maybe a bit earlier, maybe a bit sooner. The morning section is shorter than the afternoon to account for chatter and banter and the fact it's a mini-holiday of sorts.

We have a window and the lunch time pub is aware we might be late or early, if traffic is really bad we can lop bits off...route guide will be published in the next few days...

Now where did I put that penny

And for all that cannot make it, not to worry there are more to come and Wales, well it's not that far away for a weekend break ;)

Sorry, Colin - I don't know what I was thinking of when I did that! - suffice to say I've had three post 1am nights over the weekend (one of them 3.30am), and a lot to drink, and I'm not in a good frame of mind this morning. Secrecy maintained from now on, I promise!

[insert sorry smiley]

I've had to cancel Edinburgh... too far to go this weekend after the joys of last week, so am tempted to track you all down, but will let you know. Can I be trusted to ask someone to PM me a phone number in case I need to find you all?

UHAPM

Thank you Nick! You have one too.

We could do this all day... just kidding. I really hope I can convince the bloke or the best mate that a trip up there is what's needed this weekend.

can any one pm the basic details (where when how much) please as been away for 4 days and 2346 post to go through is too much (bunk room accomadation if poss ta) thanks
