I have recently taken delivery of a Octavia vRS as a new company car after upgrading from a Superb. Very impressed!

 

Anyway, this digresses from my problem. I've have noticed recently that the sat nav seems to lose its location, although it does get it back. I'd like to say this is down to the surroundings (i.e. trees or tall buildings), but that isn't the case. I'm not sure if it's down to the outside temperature affecting the GPS receiver, or just the system starting up, but I was wondering if it possible to recalibrate the electronic compass? Alternatively, would updating to the latest maps resolve the issue?

Ended up being a faulty GPS Receiver. Replaced under warranty and now working.
