I'm new to this forum. I search to this but haven't found it.

 

I have cruise control adaptative + front assist.

 

With the front assist, it works like it should, but with the cruise control I think it's not working like it should.

 

I'm on the freeway, I come to a car in front of me and the indication appears in panel allerting me for danger.
But if I continue to approach the car doesn't brake. I have manually to brake.

 

I think that this is not the correct mode. It should brake and then accellerate when the car in front of me gets off the way.

 

Can any one explained how this should  work?

It may be that you have the distance set very close to the car in front so it will not brake till very close, try increasing the distance set. what does the indication look like? is it a red picture accompanyed by a bleep or a car with some lines in front of it? When you switch it on you also need to bring the stalk fully forward to activate it.

Hell, I now realize I don't have ACC. I thought I have, but I don't have that lever for comand the ACC.

 

Do you know if it's a hard thing to implement?

Mines on a Golf, needs a radar, braking mechanism and loads of electronic so I would suggest its factory fit only.

Slightly confused here, as you say you are alerted of the car in front. That would suggest you have a radar fitted. Do you have front assist?
