Audi RS3 2015 -Anticipate some detail on price and spec soon. Delivery due mid 2015

Featured Replies

I've never been a great Audi fan - always found them a bit sterile - but I really like this. If I'd £50k to blow on a motor I think I'd go for it.

  • Well I've finally collected my RS3.   So I thought I would share my initial thoughts and photos:-           Two RSs together:-   The car is really easy to drive as I was so nervous d

  • Not sure an M2 is ideal for the commute.  Or loading the family in. Also the 1 series can't have adaptive cruise, so not sure about the 2. Wanted something a bit more sensible as I have a quick week

  • Nah, leave him be, the 7R forums will eat him alive, at least here we know where he is and it beats care in the community

There are always going to better cars on the way.

That's technology and how the makers part us with a big wedge of cash after the last "best thing ever" lost a huge chunk of value when it became outdated and common.

I'm beginning to wonder if cars are approaching a pinnacle of entertainment value these days. More and more cars are judged to be not only faster, but more efficient in every way. But at the same time, more and more reviews (professional and enthusiast) state that previous generation version of todays cars were more fun. Don't worry Keith, I'm not going to start on at the Golf :D Funnily enough I have come across a few reviews lately that say the current M3 is just plain 'not as much fun' as it's earlier incarnations. Faster, yes, but fun and with that extra bit of pizzazz? No! :( The drive for more quantifiable improvements in efficiency, safety, measurable performance figures etc seems to have bypassed the fun bit  possibly. There's always going to be some great fun cars out there, such as the new MX5 but a lot of the established order perhaps need a rethink of their core values?

So it looks like some wealthy prat may have acquired it today ,as it's now removed from the Audi Used web.

What a wally!!

One left on site and this one has been on for nearly 4 weeks. :http://www.audi.co.uk/used-cars/used-car-locator/a3/2.5-t-fsi-quattro-367ps-s-tronic/worcester/4310189-39979.aspx?srcmdc=se_na_re_

2 more placed on Audi dealers used site at approx., 10.00a.m. today now removed prior to 4.00p.m.

Priced around £47k and one not available until end Jan 2016.

Current ordered today deliver date, beyond March 2016- depends a little on spec.

Ironically the one at Worcester, mentioned above has not moved, Dealer not prepared to budge on price and  or remove from market? (Available mid Sept 2015)

Lovely.

Come to think of it, several years ago I acquired quite a large footwear collection because of impulse buying. I was a well heeled prat you could say............see what I did there?

All these fast cars in this thread would show most other vehicles a clean pair of heels!. Especially if they step on it. :peek:

Pangs of jealousy are overwhelming

If he can afford it why bother with a pauper's VW?

Reminds me of this.

And that is why people will pay more for an RS3.

It's not about the car or value for some people, it's about having something more exclusive.  As well as with an Audi RS badge.

Most people won't use the full capability of the cars anyway.

And if someone earns a lot and decides to pay a bit over the odds to get the car now rather than in six months... well I guess that's their call.

£5,000 may be six months wages to some of us, to others it might be a week or two salary.

You can pay more than that for a watch and yet people do when a £50 watch tells the time just as well.

I now see 3 or 4 Golf Rs every day.  Some people want something different.

The Roomster is more exclusive. (and better value for money when you look at depreciation if you just want to get from A to B.) :D

Exactly my point

Totally irrelevant to how some people look at value

Not when you save over £11k and invest in another property,to boost my pension.

Not when you save over £11k and invest in another property,to boost my pension.

Slightly of topic................I'm pulling out of renting out properties (been involved in family since 1988) due to more regulations (most are stupid), & more stupid ones to come in the next 2yrs, & more people wanting to have a go at us supposedly rich landlords............oh & peoples attitude to they can wreck a place as they pay their rent on time & deposits don't cover the damage (not even 3 months worth) & having to take ex-tenants to court & only getting half the money owed back...................

The return on £11k in a property is minimal.

£50 per month rental return?

Less tax.

Some people can do both, maybe they are the ones buyng the RS3.

I also think Brimma said "some people" and was not suggesting you.

Sounds like you are getting the wrong sort of tenants.

There have always been good and bad ones.

Personally I have no issues with tenants or the regulations.

That is very unfortunate. Perhaps I'm just lucky in Wiltshire with my Tennants. Never had an ounce of trouble, very lucky me I guess. Better luck in your new investment venture fabdavrab.

No, just since 1988? when we started, the tenants are worse.........& we have had different agencies do all the checks................just in the past 14yrs on property we have had 50% of the tenants (it is always on short lease) cause us major problems. PS. the latest one that I took to court was earning masses of money  as high up manager, but cost me £1,700 to have the place cleaned after they wrecked it!..............Another property the bloke was earning over £36K a year (a lot up here) & he trashed the property........& by meeting the people you would not think they would do such things............I've been in the game long enough & worked with the public long enough the judge people & the general attitude is they pay the rent & can do what they want & the rental agreement means nothing................even the general politicians are having a go at us supposed rich landlords.................tenants have more rights than us now over our properties!!.....

If you wish to continue maybe a separate topic eh?

If you wish to continue maybe a separate topic eh?

Can do, but a lot of people want to turn it into a pishing contact about what they have.

A bit like car threads. :D

I only do long term leases with people expected to say 3+ years.

Families mostly.

And I don't use agencies, I just get to know the tenants and keep in touch with them.

Boss,

Can get a few of these for £11k and can return a better yield than your simple example suggest!

Always think outside the box!

Good video for you.lol

Thanks, but I am pretty happy doing what I do.

So, about this RS3 then.......
