After all its a briskoda.net event so if anyone does show up in a non skoda, they should be excluded from the unofficial competition on the day. Was the same with the tt-rs we had in a previous session with us, but I was only 1.5 seconds behind him.

Does everyone not get lumped in engine sizes or is it on models? Would make more sence to me if all the 1.6tdi were together and all the 2.5tsi for example

If you try to be that specific most of us will be in a class of one.

It's all together, there will probably only be 10-12 Skodas on the day anyway.

Most of it is just the fun.

I only do the fun element.  But it was a nice surprise to come away with a nice trophy from the last one.

I suggest a separate grouping for black Mk2 Octavias with JPS decals and gold wheels......might put a few bob on myself winning that one

I have some VRS stickers in my kitchen drawer, if I put them on the Rover will it count as a Skoda?

I personally have no problem at all with that James.

But when it comes to looking at the times afterwards I personally would reshuffle the list to Skodas only.

Otherwise any of us could just turn up in a GT-R and smash everyone else.  (or an Evo )

 

That's what I did last year, I removed the RS that was on the same session and came first.

 

I hope everyone is OK with that and doesn't see me as being biased, because I'm possibly in with a chance of "winning".

 

If there are spaces left closer to the day I might try and get a few Fiesta STs along.

 It is a long shot if the Escort attends but if it does I would be doubtful it would win, the gearing and diff ratio are quite short so top speed is not great and would be more suited to a forest!  It will be on slicks and tarmac suspension though.

It's not a rule, it's my personal opinon.

 

Anything on slicks will be so quick in the corners it'll be hard to catch I suspect.
