VCDS Coming/Leaving Home Lights adaptation

Featured Replies

Does anyone know whether there is a VCDS adaptation for the Mk3 vRS so that the coming home / leaving home lights are DRLs only. I know there is one that changes it to the fogs but looking for it light the day light running lights only.

Thanks, in advance!

Andyvee…?

Anyone?

Yes you can do that. The only thing you need to do is remove the coming home / leaving home function from the low beam - this will leave the DRL lit only.

I'll digg the channel out for you

Thanks xpower

I had a quick look last night and couldn't see that it was explicitly applied to the low beams. I'll have another look tonight.

DOH!

I had the search in Excel selected to match entire cell contents!

Try these channels:

(8)-Leuchte6ABL LC5-Lichtfunktion C 6
(8)-Leuchte7ABL RB1-Lichtfunktion C 7

and set them both to not active

OR

set these two channels to zero
(10)-Leuchte6ABL LC5-Dimmwert CD 6
(10)-Leuchte7ABL RB1-Dimmwert CD 7

Gave it a bash tonight Andy and using either of those changes didn't work for me unfortunately :(

What happens if you make both changes? - Change from Coming Home oder Leaving Home aktiv to not active, and set the corresponding Dimmwert to 0 as well

The only other reference to the CH/LH is the adaptation channel to set it to Headlights or Fogs

Did you try resetting all the lighting values to factory default in infotainment so that the car reads the settings again from the BCM?

Make sure the light switch isn't in the AUTO position when you make the changes as well

Ah..the light switches were in auto as usual when I made the changes. I shall switch them to off and then try again, and move to making both changes as well and see if that works.

I think @hravec made the changes by just setting the two channels to not active and it worked

So I was almost there - odd that you have to set it to minimize to 0% and leave the CH/LH function on the channel, I suppose that negates the

adaptation channel value.

Did you get it done, and what is the correct coding  :notme:

Happy Weekend

Set the dimmwert values to 0 and the directions to minimise.

Yep tried and tested Andy,

CH/LH lights changed from dipped beam to DRL's

(8)-Leuchte6ABL LC5-Lichtfunktion C 6 - left as active

(8)-Leuchte7ABL RB1-Lichtfunktion C 7 - left as active

(10)-Leuchte6ABL LC5-Dimmwert CD 6 - value change from 127 to 0

(10)-Leuchte7ABL RB1-Dimmwert CD 7 - value change from 127 to 0

(11)-Leuchte6ABL LC5-Dimming Direction CD 6 - change to minimise

(11)-Leuchte7ABL RB1-Dimming Direction CD 7 - change to minimise

Thanks, works perfect [emoji106]

HI guys!!!

I have a Octavia3 2014 and have just swapped out the fog lights with HID zenon H11 bulbs from Phillips, and I must say they are cool!. I have changed the coding via VCDS for the below:

(1)-Leuchte12NL LB45-Lasttyp 12 (FOG left inner) from “10 - allgemeine Scheinwerfer” to  6 – LED Lichtmodul
(1)-Leuchte13NL RB5-Lasttyp 13 (FOG right inner) from “10 - allgemeine Scheinwerfer” to  6 – LED Lichtmodul
(1)-Leuchte8FL LB39-Lasttyp 8 (FOG left outer) from “10 - allgemeine Scheinwerfer” to  6 – LED Lichtmodul
(1)-Leuchte9FL RB2-Lasttyp 9 (FOG right outer) from “10 - allgemeine Scheinwerfer” to  6 – LED Lichtmodul

So after this when i put my fog lights on..I do not get an error. But in Auto mode, when the cornering lights are activvated in a turn, the error is displayed "check left/right fog light"

I have see the post "Octavia III VCDS Adaptations - tried and tested" and people talk about a inner bulb and an outer bulb, I have just ONE bulb per fog light.

How do I remove the error when the cornering lights are used?? PLZ help

What have you fitted?

Phillips H11 xenon look bulbs

HID bulbs with ballasts

LED H11 bulbs

Read the thread again for the non vrs model.
