2014 Skoda Octavia Elegance 1.6 TDI DSG Real World Fuel Economy?

Featured Replies

I would like to ask what MPG have you been able to achieve in town with the Skoda Octavia 1.6 TDI DSG?.

My Octavia is Brand New with only 532 miles on the clock, so far I have only achieved 45 MPG and 34 MPG.

Thank you

I've got 26k on the clock now and it's a company car so I don't hang around.  The average has stayed on 52mpg over most of it's life so far.  But that's a mixture of all roads, stuck in traffic and motorways.  Town only I'd expect around 40 - 45 speaking from experience.

Mine is a manual with a little less than 1500 km on the clock. It's just around 44 mpg this far... It's been around 70/30 on motorways (110 kmh)/highway (80 kmh)... Not much stuck in traffic. And mostly driven as economically as possible.

Surely hope it'll increase it's mpg.

I read somewhere that the engine used to be in a VW golf a couple of years back (probably still is), and was put on a test from France to Denmark on mixed roads... Primarily highways., and it lived up to the mpg they claim it can handle...

Manual SE i'm getting mid sixties after 7k miles.  Daily it varies from 60 to 70 ish. Best 85 - worst 55. On a 80 mile commute M6 /M62.

I'm finding the on board computed MPG a bit optimistic with generally 56-61 being the figure for my commute  50/50 city/motorway. Real world calculated from vehicle mileage and deisel reciepts over ~ 2 weeks i'm getting 51-53 mpg.
